From its instant oatmeal cover to intriguing synopsis, I downloaded and devoured Apocalypse Summer by Tyler Jolley. Extreme weather forced the world to cryogenically freeze members of earth to ride out the storm. What could go wrong?

In an Absent Dream by Seanan McGuire
My favorite of the Wayward Children to date, In an Absent Dream by Seanan McGuire sprang to life creating door that held me captive from its rules to the people who called it home. If you haven’t tried this fantasy novella series, I encourage you to do so. Perfect for listeners from 12 to 101.
Changeling by Molly Harper
Changeling is the first in the Sorcery and Society series by Molly Harper. When I saw Amanda Ronconi would narrate, I knew I had to listen. Boarding schools, dark secrets, magical books, social classes and suspense await you.
Aftermath by Kelley Armstrong
The subject matter of Aftermath is upsetting but I received a copy in the mail and decided to try it. I am really glad that I did. While relevant, it takes a look at the families affected by school shooting and shares the friendship between a shooter’s sister and the brother of a victim. Armstrong added a suspenseful thread and sweet romance to the story making it a worthy read.
The Becoming of Noah Shaw by Michelle Hodkin
I thoroughly enjoyed the twisted Mara Dyer trilogy written by Michelle Hodkin narrated by Christy Romano and couldn’t wait or The Becoming of Noah Shaw. The story that unfolded upends the listener as the story picks up after the ending of the Mara Dyer series. While it is well written with twists and a killer ending, the change of narrators threw me.
Spellbook of the Lost and Found by Moïra Fowley-Doyle
SPELLBOOK OF THE LOST AND FOUND by Moïra Fowley-Doyle has been one of my most anticipated audiobooks. Last year I devoured the ACCIDENTAL SEASON and fell in love with this author’s voice, magical realism, and storytelling. SPELLBOOK OF THE LOST AND FOUND did not disappoint delivering magical realism, diverse characters and lyrical prose I quickly became caught up in the girl’s adventure.
