Flight from Mayhem by Yasmine Galenorn is the second novel in the Fly by Night urban fantasy series. While I enjoyed Flight from Death, I was rewarded with a stronger story in Flight of Mayhem. Dragons, murder, supernatural creatures, snark and more made this an addictive read.
Fate’s Edge by Ilona Andrews
So I needed an Ilona Andrews fix and decided to begin Fate’s Edge, the third Edge book narrated by Renee Raudman while I was traveling and attended BEA. It was the perfect listen. I would plug my earphones in each night and lose myself for thirty minutes. Andrews draws me into this crazy world and creates characters that become real as their stories unfold.
The Curse of Tenth Grave by Darynda Jones
In Curse of Tenth Grave by Darynda Jones, the tenth book in the deliciously funny and suspenseful Charley Davidson series Charley is home solving cases and reaping. The events of the previous novel are weighing on Charley. Completely addictive with reveals, twists, and characters I prefer to call friends, Jones had me flipping pages into the wee hours of the night.
Bayou Moon by Ilona Andrews
Bayou Moon by Ilona Andrews is the second book in the urban fantasy series The Edge. I have been listening to the series on audio and was eager to return. Two years have passed since the ending of the first book and we get a new couple and tale in this strange land known as the Edge.
The Voodoo Killings by Kristi Charish
I devoured the audio of The Voodoo Killings written by Kristi Charish and narrated by Susannah Jones. By devoured I mean I listened to all 11 hours and 43 minutes in a single day. Urban fantasy and audio mesh perfectly for me. Charish quickly pulled me into this world and I cannot wait for more.
