I loved The Midnight Library, and when it was announced that The Midnight Train by Matt Haig would be set in the same world, I knew I had to listen. Narrated by James Norton, Wilbur boards the train to take one last trip to observe memories of his life before moving on. The tale that unfolded held me captive and pondering my life in this time-traveling romance.
I was delighted to return to 1870s Scotland and the Rip Through Time series. An Ordinary Sort of Evil by Kelley Armstrong has Mallory and Duncan working an unusual case and creating alternative paths. Advancement in our slow-burning romance and a suspenseful case had me reading & listening into the wee hours.
The Book of Lost Hours by Hayley Gelfuso is an atmospheric fantasy filled with historic moments, time travel and mystery. Here, she discovers a library filled with books containing the memories of those who bore witness to history. Brilliant, engaging and suspenseful.
