Against a Brightening Sky by Jaime Lee Moyer is the last book in the Delia Martin trilogy. A wonderful historical murder-mystery trilogy set around the 1900’s in San Francisco wrapped in paranormal elements. While each of the books shares a particular case, I recommend reading them in order due to the progress of the main characters. Against A Brightening Sky delivered a dark mystery weaved with Russian history that quickly held me captive.

He Will Be My Ruin was brilliantly told through the voice of the protagonist, with a few chapters dedicated to her best friend through journals. Tucker created a riveting suspense that kept me guessing.
