I’ve been a fan of Tucker since her ten tiny breaths series. I absolutely love the directions her writing has taken. The Simple Wild is a standalone adult contemporary with a cute, “enemies to lovers” romance. It also shares an emotional father-daughter story and its all delivered with a breathtaking view of Alaska. I laughed, swooned and cried as I fell for these characters and landscape.
The Sugarhouse Blues by Mariah Stewart is the second book in the Hudson Sisters series and it was delightful to return to this small Pennsylvania town as the sisters Allie, Des, and Cara, work to restore the Sugarhouse theater. Cute dogs, wicked banter, and family gave way to growth and bonding.
Rainy Day Friends by Jill Shalvis is the second full-length novel in her Wildstone stories, and it delivered all the humor, warm, and swoons I have come to expect in a Shalvis novel. Rainy Day Friends one tugged at my heartstrings, made me laugh and feel right at home. I want a job at the family-run Capriotti Winery. Heck, I want to be adopted by them.
I am continuing my journey with the Bridgertons’ on audio. When He Was Wicked by Julia Quinn shares the story of notorious rake, Michael Stirling, and Francesca Bridgerton. Quinn made me weep, laugh and hope as these characters suffered, stumbled and discovered.
The Family Gathering by Robyn Carr is the third book in her small-town contemporary romance series, Sullivan’s Crossing. Dakota Jones has left the military and comes to spend time near his siblings before heading off on another adventure. Family weddings, crisis, and unconditional love find their way into this delightful, heartfelt tale.
