Flipped by Ines Saint is the first novel, in her new small-town contemporary romance series called Spinning Hills. I was drawn to Flipped because I love watching shows about flipping houses. Flipped offered small-town charm, banter and sweet moments making it the perfect read for a summer afternoon escape.

Suddenly One Sumner by Julie James is a delicious beach read with depth and characters you will embrace. This was my first James’ novel and while this is a standalone, the hero Ford first appeared in one of her FBI/US Attorney novels. I must admit to being curious. Filled with banter, sexy time and wrapped in heartwarming side stories it is easy to see why Julie James is a favorite

An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

I love a good dystopian, it is what drew me to the young adult genre and when I saw reviews for An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir I was excited about the promise of a roman-world with violence, oppression and dual narratives. When an opportunity to review the audio presented itself, I dove headfirst. I am so glad that I did. An Ember in the Ashes was beautifully written and executed.
