Banana Nut Bread and Die Again by Tess Gerritsen
To spice things up on Wednesdays between “Waiting On” posts and reviews, I am going to share ”Recipe and a Book Recommendation.” Today I am sharing Banana Nut Bread and Die Again by Tess Gerritsen. It is urban fantasy series-featuring sisters who have unique abilities and takes place in the Lake Tahoe region. In A Cursed Bloodline, Robson splayed my heart open, chewed it and then carefully stitched it back together again.
Gunpowder Alchemy by Jeannie Lin
I love steampunk and was excited at the idea of exploring China’s Qing Dynasty. In Gunpowder Alchemy, the first in the Gunpowder Chronicles, Jeannie Lin introduces a strong heroine and captivating storyline filled with steampunk goodness, adventure and a slow-building romance.
