Tomorrow marks the beginning of the dark years. Ugh. A cold snap has set in and my husband brought home a virus and shared with everyone. Not Covid nor flu, but headache, body aches, stuffy heads, and everyone has been tired and cranky. The Royals missed two days of school and went on the third day, but both came home after school and slept. Stay Caffeinated.

So sorry to hear that you’ve all been smitten:(. We’ve also been felled by seasonal lergies – and although they could be a lot worse, they’re miserable enough. It doesn’t help that the sun has hardly shone at all this month. I hope the coming week is a kinder one, Kimberly.

  2. Lorna

That virus sounds awful. Hopefully everyone gets better real soon. I’m jealous you got Brave. I think I’ve already preordered it.

  3. Carla

I hope everyone in your house starts feeling better soon. It looks like you have some great new arrivals that just came in. I love historical romances. Happy reading!

hoping you all get better soon… my daughter is down with something similar and her being so far away now in college makes checking in on her tough but i end up doing it more often than she likes..
love the cover of Rules for Ruin

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well, I think it has been going around, as I have also not been feeling well the last week.
    Happy reading!

We shall resist in any and all ways we can. Sorry to hear about the virus. Anna probably had that a few weeks ago since she tested neg for Covid and flu yet had all the symptoms you listed.

I can’t wait to hear about These Summer Storms! I hope you have a good week. I hope you and your family are feeling better soon. I often get sick at the beginning of February I am hoping this year that won’t happen this year.

We’re currently in the middle of an arctic storm and I cannot with these negative temperatures. 🥶 We were doing really well until I got a call from the school on Friday saying one of my kiddos was running a fever. And so it begins. 😭 I hope you and yours feel better soon! Stay warm!

I also have Death at a Highland Wedding and can’t wait to dive in! I hope we both love it.

I’m sorry you and the family are battling viruses again! I hope you recover quickly!

I had Devil’s Due on my Netgalley shelf since it came out!! It’s one of those old books that I need to read. Maybe I’ll break down and buy the audio to complete it.

I love seeing that you have a Mimi Matthews book in your haul! I really like her books. She’s an auto-read author for me. I have Rules for Ruin too. Can’t wait to see what you think of it! Have a great week!

  11. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Oh no! It feels like you just got over a cold too! Hope you have a speedy recovery this time around!

Ooh nice new reads! These are new to me ones but I vaguely remember Rachel Caine’s older titles! Still behind on Kelley Armstrong’s books too! It’s insane! She writes too fast! Lol. Hope you enjoy all the lovely new reads!

    Here’s my StS

    Have a GREAT day!

I hope you all feel better soon and recover from that virus. It’s been cold here as well. Your new books all look promising, I hope they’re good ones. I still have to start that Kelley Armstrong series.

  13. Lori

It is freezing here too. I had a strange bug last week. Really tired and cranky. Like a toddler illness. Whiny and wanting to be left alone😁

I hope you all feel better soon. Stay warm and toasty!

Rules for Ruin looks good. It reminds me of The Finishing School series by Gail Carriger.

My aunt keeps texting me that we can get through “the dark years” as long as we keep encouraging each other.

I hope all of you feel better soon.
