Great reading for October! We are in one of the states that fall back and I think I’m one of the few people who love it. I’d prefer to stay in this mode all year and never do Daylight Savings Time where you spring forward in the spring. I hope you’re having a great week!
Olivia
I hear you on the importance of voting. I voted the first day of early voting. I can’t waiting for the election to be over tomorrow. (And for the court cases to begin. *eyeroll*)
Alicia Marquez
I managed to finally get my ballot in today.
My state voted to stop daylight saving but we still change the clocks every year!
Sophia Rose
We’ve got a full two-sided ballot form, too. Good stack of books read toward your numbers and the challenges.
Sara
My family all voted early this year, two of my kids voted for the first time ever 🙂 Hate time change! We have pet birds and they’ve been so cranky today, the don’t like that their humans routines are messed up lol.
Anne - Books of My Heart
I’m glad to see you are keeping track of the issues for the election. You are also doing well with your challenges. I’d rather it was dark in the morning for sleeping in and lighter at “night” for working in the yard.
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
Good reminder to everyone to vote. I voted early, but I know many people haven’t voted yet. Now we wait… and try to stay hopeful and calm.
Mary Kirkland
I voted early.
Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
My vote is in! I’ve been trying not to panic about this election, but it’s hard not to worry when it feels like the results will be so monumental. (And when it’s still so close – crazy!!)
Lisa Mandina (Lisa Loves Literature)
Baking It Merry sounds cute! Also perfect for the Ho-Ho-Ho Readathon. I plan to vote on the actual day. We have no students and a work day that day, so we can go vote when we can. I used to love Daylight Savings Time when I worked on the weekends and would feel like I actually got an “extra hour” of sleep. Now it just kind of comes and goes. Hope you have a good week!
Rachel @Waves of Fiction
I don’t mind this time change as much as the one in spring since we get an extra hour and I’m not driving to work in the dark now. Have a wonderful week, Kimberly!
Kimberly
Yes, I struggle all year waiting for that hour back…lol
Stephanie
Happy November! Decided to listen to the audiobook version of Dracula for Halloween…it’s truly terrifying!
Kimberly
Ooo I have not done that. Who is the narrator?
Stephanie
Ah, good question. Travis Gilbert is the narrator.I borrowed it from my son’s school’s library app and can’t seem to find an ISBN. Hope you enjoy it.

I hate Daylight Savings. Could we just stop with it, please?! I voted on the first day of early voting here which was 10/17. We drove by the closest place yesterday and there was a long line. Yesterday was the last day for early voting, so that makes sense. This week is going to be so tense! Ugh! *fingers crossed*
Kimberly
Yes, we dropped off our envelopes yesterday and the lines were crazy.
Stormi
I hate this time of year, I wish we could keep the clocks how they are and not send them back. I don’t like dark at 5. 🙁
Cindy's Book Corner
I voted a couple of weeks ago, it was the first time my son and daughter voted, we had a good experience. Your newest additions look good! I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Jessica @ a GREAT read
I am already feeling refreshed and rejuvenated with the time change! I wait what feels like all year long to gain this hour back and it’s just good for my mental well being once we get it! Lol. Hope you enjoyed your extra hour as well!
Those are new to me reads! I hope you enjoy them both once you get to read them!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!

Most of the provinces in Canada also reverted back to standard time this weekend. I also picked up Baking It Merry this week. Have a great Sunday!
Jody
I thought they were going to stop doing this back-and-forth garbage with the time. I am tired of it. Stick to one time and leave it alone, lol! Have a wonderful week, Kimberly 😊
Emma @ Words And Peace
Oh wow, another Scalzi, looking forward to your review
Carla
I almost missed that it’s daylight savings time. My sister mentioned it to me yesterday. Phones, iPads, and computers all update themselves, so that only really leaves my oven and microwave that need to be fixed.
Kimberly
Same.
Idea-ist@GetLostinLit
I prefer spring forward to falling back, but if they got rid of the ritual altogether i wouldnt be upset. I also don’t know why it didn’t occur to me to encourage people to vote on my blog as well, it’s such an important thing to do.
Bookworm
You had a great reading month. I wish they’d stop doing daylight savings time.
Baking it Merry looks good, happy reading.
Lola
The time went back here as well, I wish we could stick with one time. I hope you have a good week!
Gail Is This Mutton
I like the look of The Seven o’ Clock Club! I’ve reviewed a crime thriller today. Have a good week.
Sophie
We had daylight saving last week and it never gets easier! Also I will be watching the US elections with great interest!
Lori
You have been busy working on reviews! I will be checking them out.
It’s an important week and I fear a long one as we wait for results.
Taylor @ Taylor Fenner’s Bookish World
Sounds like you had a great reading month in October. I read 15 not counting the 2 I carried over into November. My biggest issues tonight is trying to figure out if I get paid for 8 hours or 9 at work with the clocks going back 😆
Kimberly
If hourly than 9 and in the spring 7.
Laurel-Rain Snow
Ah. yes, falling back will take us to shorter days. You had another great month of reading. Enjoy November.
Yvonne @ Socrates Book Reviews
You had a great reading month in October. I hope November is good too. Enjoy your books and have a great week!
