First week back from vacation was crazy busy with work and life. It was stressful and each night I passed out before 9:30 pm. For the month of August, I read/listened to eight books but with vacation I am not surprised. I spent the weekend catching up on reviews and I worked. I did join threads and changed my Instagram name to @caffeinatedreviewer. Stay Caffeinated.

Ugh that re-entry from vacation can be brutal!! Hang in there!
Katherine
I’ve found on vacation I either read a ton or hardly at all. There doesn’t seem to be an in between! I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed your vacation and hopefully you’ll get caught up with everything. All those little tasks seem to multiply when I’m out of town. Have a great week!
Rachel @Waves of Fiction
Coming back to real life after vacation can be tough! I don’t get much reading done if I’m on vacation with my kids and grandkids. Too much shenanigans! I just got back from Texas with them and yeah, not much reading. Hope things settle down for you. 🙂
MarthaE
It is good that you got to enjoy your vacation and didn’t feel pressured to read.
It does seem to be a push to get caught up after vacation. {Sigh} I have learned to add two days (at least) at the end of the vacay to get settled back in.
Both of your new books look enjoyable. Happy Reading!
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
I noticed you had changed your Instagram name! 🙂 Vacations are great for recharging mentally and emotionally, but I often come back physically tired, too. I’m glad you had a good time, though!
Lisa Mandina (Lisa Loves Literature)
Love vacations, but always come back feeling like I’m behind on things! Hope you have a good week!

I’ve always felt like I needed a vacation after my vacations just for all of the catch up stuff that needs to be done.
Mary Kirkland
Catching up on stuff after a vacation can be hard.
Sophia Rose
My husband and I always joke about needing a vacation after the vacation. Sounds like you got through the hard ‘catch-up’ week so hopefully things will smooth out now.
Have a good week, Kimberly!
Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
I felt that way after my vacation as well. Sometimes it can feel impossible to catch up, even just with life! Hope things are less hectic for you in the week to come!
Lisa R. Howeler
I always hate how busy weeks can seem after a vacation. Hoping you can get back into a calmer groove!
Anne - Books of My Heart
It’s always work to shift gears. I hope you feel a bit on track and can enjoy a smooth week.
Meezan
I have often found that a vacation after a vacation is necessary. Have a great week. 🙂
BonnieReadsAndWrites
Sometimes I need a vacation to rest up from my vacation.

Love seeing you around Threads! Hope you have fun with it. You got some great books read there. Glad you had a great staycation.
Lola
Sounds like a busy and tiring week now that you got back form vacation. Hopefully next week is a bit calmer.
Shelleyrae @ Book’d Out
I’m sorry the week has been so stressful, hopefully this week will be less so.
Wishing you a wonderful reading week

I think you meant “For the month of July…” in your update there. 🙂 I hear ya on the busy busy busy! I feel like it’s been go go go all summer here.
Jodie
It’s always great to get that first week back after vacation completed as I find it’s always a challenging one.. Good for you to get started on threads – I have contemplated it too. Have a great week ahead!

Why is it that first days/week back from vacay is always so stressful? Ugh. I hope you have a less busy/stressful week this week.
Jessica @ a GREAT read
Ah! My comment didn’t post for some reason! Now what on earth did I say?!
Glad to hear you had a nice vacation and got caught up on reading! That’s always nice! It’s always rough getting back to work after being off. I know I sometimes will pop on my laptop the night before just to sift through all the emails I get. Mostly to weed through ones that don’t apply to me as our team as a group inbox where we communicate with vendors and such. So after I weed through all the other emails I’m left with a much more manageable amount to deal with the next morning! Lol.
Nice new reads! I am excited for this particular novel of Blake’s as I still love vampire novels! This one sounds exciting and even though I haven’t read the one Blake book I have, I totally plan to pick this one up too! The other one is new to me but I am loving that cover! I know it’s the audio book version but it looks amazing! I hope you enjoy your new reads!
Hope you have a great week ahead!

I hope you had a nice vacation. Hopefully this week will not be stressful for you. Have a great week!
Emily @ Budget Tales Blog
I hope you had a lovely vacation. Hopefully a less stressful week next week?! I can only dream of falling asleep at that time. My newborn is unfortunately nocturnal! He is now 4 weeks old so maybe he will sort out his sleeping pattern soon?! My other son was a pretty good sleeper as long as we gave him formula before bed!!
Emma @ Words And Peace
wow, sounds busy, take care of yourself!
Vlora
Hope your next week is a little more relaxing, but yay for all the reading! How’s Threads? I wish I could join, but they haven’t rolled it out in the EU (and probably won’t, at least for a while, because of data protection laws), so I have FOMO seeing all the book bloggers join haha.
Sophie
That will be me next week Kimberly! Back to work and exhausted before 9:30 PM!
Maree
Coming back from holiday is always rough. I hope you have a great week 🙂
Mark
I’ve got to admit, some times I wonder if the vacation was really worth it when I see what happens when I come back.
Laurel-Rain Snow
I had a great week, with some outings and time with family. I also actually read three books, which is almost back to my old pattern.
Laura Thomas
It’s always seems to be exhausting when we return from a vacation, doesn’t it. I need another one just to recover from the first one. LOL
Yvonne @ Socrates Book Reviews
The first week after vacation is always the hardest. I haven’t joined Threads yet but I’m thinking about it. Hope you have a great week!
LORI CASWELL
I have joined Threads too, I am hoping they at the computer feature soon. I always have to remind myself to go to my phone to post :).
I am glad you had a nice vacation and catching up after isn’t easy. You get back to reading/listening before you know it.
Have a great week.
Jen at Introverted Reader
I’ve been thinking about joining Threads but I’ve been holding off to hear more people’s thoughts on it. I hope this week is less stressful for you!
Taylor @ Taylor Fenner’s Bookish World
I liked the review of Gone Tonight by Sarah Pekkanen. I just listened to a short story by her and Greer Hendricks, The Getaway, which I enjoyed. I hope you’ve been able to catch up on rest! Have a great week.
Diana @ Book of Secrets
Threads has been fun. I’m hoping more of us from the book blogging community end up there! Have a great week.
Greg
The week after vacation is so hectic sometimes. I always think gee, I finally got to relax, and now I have to run ragged again. Hope you’re having a good weekend…
Masters of death has quite the cover!
