Last day of vacation. I didn’t read much and aside from a blitz kit to send out, I really stayed away from my phone & laptop. This week the temps were in the upper 90s and lower 100s with unbearable humidity that pushed the feels like 117+. Thankfully, we went away for a few days and were able to crank the hotel AC, while exploring air conditioned museums. We had a good time, but now it’s time for work and grandchildren. The Royals return to school on August 10th, so we are going to enjoy the last days of summer. My youngest turns 29 this week. How did this happen? Stay Caffeinated.

I’m so glad you were able to stay unplugged and really enjoy your vacation! Enjoy the rest of the summer while you’re trying not to melt! Have a great week!

Glad you had a relaxing vacation. I’m on mine now. 🙂 Summer does seem to be winding down. Enjoy your last days before school. Happy Reading!

I remember when you wrote about how they just got out of school for the summer. Time really flies! A/C is one of my favorite inventions. Stay cool and have a great week! 🙂

Time flies so fast!! I’m sorry your vacation ended. The temps here in Italy are weird too. hopefully not for long. Have a great Sunday!

It’s interesting to see the wide variety of school years. Our school year just ended with the last day of June so the students don’t go back until the day after Labour Day. The temperatures must be challenging. Enjoy your new arrivals and have a wonderful week ahead.

  6. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Yeah our temps have been outrageous as well! Supposedly, Tuesday is going to have a very low high and I am kinds of excited for that even though it’s at the beginning of the week and I won’t be going anywhere then! Lol! Glad you enjoyed the last of your vacation! I haven’t gone to a museum in ages! I do like learning about different things, probably more art museums than anything!

Nice new reads! Those are all new to me ones! I hope you enjoy each and every one of them!

    Here’s my StS

The temperature majorly dropped here this week which was lovely but the transition was a little rough on my body, not gonna lie! I hope you enjoyed your holiday and I’m all for disconnecting from the online world! I hope you have a good return to work 🙂

I can see why you’d want to take advantage of the A/C. Nice to hear you were able to get away for a few days. I have All is Not Forgiven too. Hope we both love it. I enjoyed Gone Tonight and will have my review up this week too. Hope you enjoyed it as well!

I’m glad you enjoyed your vacation despite the weather! The heat and humidity hit us here as well. The air felt thick and heavy, and the heat index was well over 100, close to 110 for a day. Thank goodness, a sort-of-cool-front rolled through this evening. It’s not supposed to get above 85 all week, but still humid, so the heat index will be in the 90s. But that’s better than high 100s.

My only child is a similar age to your youngest. Hard to believe. Where did the time go?

Have a good week, and stay cool as much as you can!

Yay for some rest and relaxation, and AC! ⛅

I have The Invisible Hour to read, too. I hope we love it. 📙

Have a wonderful new week, and last bit of summer break with The Royals. ☀

Ooof, that humidity does not sound like fun. I hope it cools down, and you have a great week 🙂

No! Summer just can’t be ending. I have been enjoying the hot and am nowhere ready for that to end. My grands don’t start back to school for a few more weeks and I hope we get to do something fun before then.

Have a fun week and stay cool!

Happy birthday to your youngest! And that is HOT. 117? Yowzers I’d melt. It was low 90’s here and I thoguht that was bad. I don’t know if it’s climate change or what but it uust seems so HOT everywhere now!
