Rain, Snow, the Children’s Museum, a trip to the mall, and Back to School filled our week. The kiddos went back on Thursday but Sophia came down with a 24 hour bug that included vomiting, so no school for her on Friday. It was a very busy week. This weekend I am taking down the inside holiday decorations. Stay Caffeinated.

Sounds like a busy week, Kimberly! I took down our Christmas stuff a few days after Christmas and it felt great to have the house back in order.
Mary Kirkland
I hope Sophia is feeling better. It’s been raining here all day.
MarthaE
It hurts to see our loved ones ill. Hope she springs back.
Stay warm and Happy Reading!
Vi @Inkvotary
Poor Sophia. Hope she is feeling better now. Somehow the first week of a new year feels always weird to me. Wishing you a better week next week. Happy reading.
Sophia Rose
Busy week for you. We had a really warm day so I got the outside decorations down and put up. Half the inside ones are done, but I’ll finish this week. Poor little Sophia.
Have a good week, Kimberly!
Alicia
I was supposed to take the inside holiday decorations down yesterday but got really lazy. Have a great week!
Lisa
Hope you’re all healthier now. We had the back to school illness too!
Anne - Books of My Heart
I hope everyone is feeling well now.
Cindy Davis
Nice haul. Glad it was only a 24-hour bug and hopefully no one else gets it. Have a great week!
Literary Feline
I hope Sophia is feeling better soon. We are taking our Christmas decorations down this weekend too. I hope you enjoy your reading and have a great week!
LORI CASWELL
I Hope Sophia is feeling better. You had a fun week aside from her illness. That makes the time fly by.
Have a great week!
Wendy

Victoria Hamel
Yes sounds like a very busy week. I go back to work at school on Monday. I def. appreciate having the first week of the new year off. I liked Next Year in Havana, I might have to check out The Cuban Heiress–
Meezan
I hope she is feeling better soon. Wishing you a wonderful week! 🙂

No snow here but a number of family members did come down with a not-COVID bug of some sort or other. Tis the season, I guess. Hope the little one is doing better and everyone stays healthy.
Jamie @ The Fantasy Princess
Sounds like you did have a busy week! Our Christmas decorations came down the day after Christmas. Hope you have a great week!
Lillian @ Mom with a Reading Problem
That’s a very busy week! Hope Sophia is feeling better today 😔 Stomach viruses are the worst. Happy Reading!
Lisa Mandina (Lisa Loves Literature)
Definitely sounds like a busy week! I’m jealous they didn’t have to go back till Thursday. Our kids were back on Wednesday, and we had to go back on Tuesday. I see the Blake Crouch book, I did enjoy the one of his I read before, I should probably try another. Have a great week and I hope everyone gets back to feeling better!
Lover of Romance
It looks like also had a super busy week as well. Hope you get some relaxing reading in this week. Hope you enjoy those new additions to your library. I love the Chanel Cleeton cover.
Carole @ Carole's Random Life
I feel like I had a pretty busy week too with 2 birthdays in the immediate family and going back to work. You have me topped though with a little one being sick. I hope that she is feeling much better now!
Berls
Oh wow, that is a busy week! I’m glad Sophia’s bug was just a 24 hour one (though it sure doesn’t sound fun). Hope you have a good week ahead!
Stephanie @ Once Upon a Chapter
This week was busy here too! I love the weekends where I can move more at my own pace. I hope this week is a little less busy for you and that Sophia is feeling better!
A Voracious Reader
Poor Sophia. I hope she has a better week.
S. J. Pajonas
We’re also taking down the holiday decorations inside today. Outside, we’ll take down our one inflatable but my husband leaves up the outside lights until after my birthday on the 18th. I love the outside lights so it’s a little treat for me.
Jodie
I hope that Sophia is feeling better now. The New Release Challenge sounds interesting – I’m contemplating adding that one! Have a great week ahead Kimberly!
Shelleyrae @ Book’d Out
Poor Sophia. I hope she recovers quickly.
Our tree doesn’t usually stay up past the 29th because my sons birthday is on the 30th and in the past we’ve needed the room to host his birthday party, but he made his own arrangements this year so we didn’t take it down til mid week.
Wishing you a great reading week
Amy @ A Novel Start
It sounds like you’ve hardly had a chance to breath! Being busy can be a good thing though, it helps us get back into the swing of it after the holiday period!
I’m glad the little one has recovered. I hope none of the rest of the family gets that bug, sometimes the 24-hour ones can be the most intense!
Have a great week ahead x
Jessica @ a GREAT read
Poor Sophia! Glad it was just a quick little bug! Seems like one was being passed around my sister’s family and then my poor mom caught it and wasn’t feeling well last week. Hopefully we’re done with that. Glad to hear the week was pretty normal otherwise!
Nice new reads! Those are all new to me ones but I hope you will enjoy each and every one of them!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!

Sounds like a busy week. I hope Sophia’s feeling better.
I put the tree away last week and I miss it lol. Happy reading this week!
Sophie
You had a busy week indeed Kimberly! And I took down the holiday decoration yesterday! Here to hope that no one has a bug next week 😉
Jill
It was a busy week here too, and now it’s the 8th already! I wish there was a way to make time slow down!
Emily @Budget Tales Book Blog
Sounds like a busy week! We need to take down the rest of our decorations. Our tree is down, and the wreath is in, just little bits in the cabinets.
Have a great week!
Laura Thomas
I haer ya about a busy week. I can’t believe it’s the 8th already. I took down my decorations. Now to wrestle all the totes back in the closet. LOL
Rachel @Waves of Fiction
We’ve had a bunch of rain but no snow this week. We’re supposed to get a lot more. Poor Sophia! Hope she feels better.
I’ll be downloading that Laura Griffin and I have a copy of A Sinister Revenge too. Hope we both love them!
Tessa
Happy New Year! Hope this week is a little less eventful.
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
Sounds like a busy week! Sorry to hear Sofia was sick.
I have no indoor decorations to take down this year; we didn’t put any up before we left to visit family. I miss them, but there’s no denying it makes for an easier January.
Jinjer
It does sound like a fun week! Well, up until the illness.
Laurel-Rain Snow
You had quite a week! I hope you get through the next one with no illnesses, but with kids, that seems unlikely.
Enjoy your week.
Yvonne @ Socrates Book Reviews
Busy week for you! I hope Sophia is feeling better. I’ve been debating whether or not to request The Cuban Heiress. It does look good. Hope you have a great week!
Katherine
Poor Sophia! Even with it only being a 24 hour bug it’s still no fun. The Cuban Heiress is calling my name. I really want to read something by that author. Have a great week!
Taylor @ Taylor Fenner’s Bookish World
I hope Sophia is feeling better! We’re planning to take down our decorations today too. I can’t wait to have the living room back to normal.
Greg
Happy New Year Kimba! Hope you had a great one. We’re hoping to get some of our stuff down too this weekend. What’s left of it lol. Why does it take so long to take everything down??? 🙂
