What a week. Hazel’s mommy had a horrible Thursday/Friday. Her cat accidentally licked a cleaner (while she was at work), and it burned her. In her struggle to wipe her face, the vet thinks she banged her head on the bed frame and broke her jaw. The cost is almost $1700.00 and involves a three-week recovery. She set up a GoFundMe. If you’d like to learn more or donate, here is the link: Nebula’s Surgery. This weekend it has cooled off with much needed rain. I’ve started my fall cleaning. I am almost caught up on reviews…it is so exciting to have a little breathing room. Stay Caffeinated.

I know exactly what you mean as I am about caught up on reviews and it feels great. It gives me a little room to plan and try a few new things. And yay for cooler weather!
Cindy Davis
I thought I was caught up on reviews until I realized I still had one more to do…but it’s been a week since I finished the book, so we will see. I hope the recovery goes smoothly and quickly. Have a great week!

Oh, that poor kitty! And your poor daughter! I hope the kitty recovers OK, and the GoFundMe is successful.
And woot! for getting nearly caught up — that must feel great!
LORI CASWELL
So sorry about the kitty.
We have been having a lot of rain as the temps cool off but I am hoping for a long Indian Summer.
Lover of Romance
oh no! That sounds awful and so expensive. Fall cleaning is always the best and hope that goes smoothly. I hope you love that upcoming Jennifer Ryan.
Rachel @Waves of Fiction
Omg! Poor kitty! My heart goes hurts thinking about her.
It’s finally cooled off a bit here too. Thank goodness. I’m trying to catch up as well. I guess that’s the story of my life, lol!
Loved Killers of a Certain Age!
BonnieReadsAndWrites

Oh my goodness! I am so so sorry to hear about your daughter’s cat!!! Poor little thing. 🙁 Vets are so much money. 🙁
Sophia Rose
Poor kitty! Our cat had surgery last month and it cost a small fortune, too, so I get your daughter’s stress over cat and finances.
Way to go getting caught up on reviews and hitting the fall cleaning.
Have a good week, Kimberly!
Shelleyrae @ Book’d Out
I hope the kitty recovers.
Wishing you a great reading week
Mareli @ Elza Reads
Whoo hoo for Fraterfest coming up! Of course we will participate. Can’t wait!

Poor kitty! I hope the surgery goes well. I’m also enjoying the slightly cooler weather. I wish it would stay like this. I like it colder but not having to bundle up.
Carole @ Carole's Random Life
Oh no! That poor kitty. I can’t even imagine. It looks like you added some great books this week. Have a great week!
Jessica @ a GREAT read
Oh that’s terrible! I hope Hazel has a speedy recovery! I am sooo envious to hear you have cooler weather already! We have a day of it today, but we’ll be climbing back up to the 90s all week. Think we have maybe 5-6 weeks left of summer here before we get a taste of real fall weather! Lol.
Nice new reads! Those are new to me ones but I hope you enjoy each and every one of them!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!

Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear about the cat! The poor things sounds like it had a terrible time and must feel miserable. A nice haul of books this week! I always look forward to reading Debbie Macomber’s newest books. Too bad that they’re not available as galleys to those of us in Canada. Have a wonderful (and less stressful) week ahead.
sjhigbee
Oh no! What a horrible thing to happen – so very sorry:(. Glad that you are also getting some rain and cooling down. We’ve had lots of downpours this week that we really needed, too. Hope the coming week is a good one, Kimberly
Jill
Poor kitty!
It’s cooler here too. Maybe I should start my fall reading today, or I could just read…
Louise Hallett
Oh poor Nebula, I hope she is on the mend soon.
Sophie
OMG Kimberly, poor kitty! We had to have surgery on our dog some years ago (broken sinew) and it cost a lot too!
Now good for you on being close to catch up with all the revies! Have a great Sunday!
Tanya @ Girl Plus Books
I’m so envious of your cooler temps. It’s still hitting 90 here most days. I’m so over summer!
Bookworm
Poor Nebula 🙁
It’s expected to rain most of today here too, makes for nice reading time. Enjoy your books this week.
Tessa
We also have rain and cooler temps and I’m definitely enjoying a break in the heat. So sorry to hear about poor Nebula. I hope all goes well with the surgery and recovery.

Yvonne @ Socrates Book Reviews
How awful for the poor kitty. I hope she’s going to be alright.
Have a great week.
Greg
Oh no- that’s terrible. Poor thing. Will go check out the GoFundMe. Vet bills can be so expensive, like everything else these days.
Nice to see a new Courtney Summers.
Be well this week!
