Holly’s cauldron is bubbling over and ready to blow!
Following six months of intense training under some of the country’s most skilled potion masters, Holly’s head is full to the brim.
When she’s offered a new assignment with the Supernatural Protection Agency, she jumps at the chance to take her newfound skills out of the workshop and into the real world.
What she didn’t expect was to wind up tailing a suspected werewolf killer right in her own backyard.
Literally.
When another werewolf turns up dead, Holly and her roommates are locked in a race against time and the killer might be even closer than they think.
One Bad Witch by Danielle Garrett is the sixth novel in the Beechwood Harbor Magic Mystery series. Narrated by Amanda Ronconi each book is under six hours and contains a single mystery. Humor, a haunted manor and a quirky cast of characters offered an addictive listen.
In One Bad Witch, our protagonist & witch Holly has recently finished six months of training under potions masters and business is booming. As a result, she is feeling pulled in all directions.
Her part-time barista job, the potion orders and now a new assignment with the Supernatural Protection Agency makes Holly one busy little witch. The manor is getting a new resident and Holly’s assigned to keep an eye on her. The SPA believes she has connections to a series of wolf murders. With the help of her roommates and Nick, the local PI, she must stop the killer. Is it their new roommate? You’ll have to discover that for yourself.
Holly is in a relationship with shifter and roommate, Adam. Agent Bramble has sworn her to secrecy and she can’t even tell him. what she suspects, but he faithfully helps her. When Nick starts dating, Narissa things get a tad complicated. Vampires, twists and turns made for an addictive storyline.
The romance thread continues to perplex me, on one hand Holly is in a relationship with Adam, but the chemistry, denial, and friendship between her and Nick keep things on edge.
Relationships and interaction between this motley crew of friends added interests and we see growth and development in the overall series ARC.
Fans of cozy mysteries with paranormal elements will want to listen to this series. Amanda Ronconi is a favorite here at Caffeinated and has become the voice of these characters.
Humor, a haunted manor and a quirky cast of characters made One Bad Witch by Danielle Garrett an addictive listen. #JIAM #loveaudiobooks #CozyMystery #Paranormal Share on X

I don;t read a lot of paranormal stuff, but this one sounds like something I would enjoy. I like cozies, so it should be a good fit. Wonderful review.
Suzanne @ The Bookish Libra
This sounds like a fun series. I always love books that feature witches anyway but a cozy series that features them sounds perfect!
Mary Kirkland
The paranormal element intrigues me and this sounds really good.

I’m listening to this soon. I had to push it out 2 weeks with my closing yesterday.

Great review!
Crystal @ Lost in Storyland
This sounds like a fun book. I haven’t read many books featuring witches, and I love paranormal mysteries! The romance thread does sound confusing; it’ll be interesting to see where the author goes with that.
