I pre-ordered Hidden Summit and was ecstatic when it appeared on my Nook Tablet. As I have stated before this is one of my favorite contemporary romance series. Carr has a gift for spinning delightful tales about this small California mountain town. Each time I visit, she brings fresh characters and a storyline that captures me from page one.
Bring Me Home for Christmas by Robyn Carr
As with any of Robyn Carr’s books I pre-ordered Bring Me Home for Christmas. The Virgin River series is one of my all time favorites. I have a fondness for it that can best be described as, “that warm fuzzy feeling you get when you slip into your favorite comfy jeans and snuggle up to the one you love on a cold lazy Sunday afternoon.” If Virgin Rivers was a real place, I would move there. The scenic beauty and the caring families who reside here have found a little slice of heaven on Earth.
Here Comes Trouble by Erin Kern
Here Comes Trouble is the second book in Erin Kern’s Trouble series. Each book can be read as a standalone. This novel is a contemporary romance set in Wyoming. The novel does have some editing issues, but not enough to deter from the overall reading experience.
Cedardale Court by Nathan Lee Christensen
Cedardale Court is a mystery with lots of twists in a small town in Oregon. This is the first published work of indie author Nathan Lee Christensen and I thoroughly enjoyed this captivating tale. I started and finished it in a day.
Thrown Out: Stories from Exeter by Jennie Coughlin
The book, Thrown Out: Stories from Exeter, was a delightful collection of four short stories. All of the tales took place in the college town of Exeter. I really enjoyed each of the stories, which doesn’t often happen in a collection of works.
