The Deepest of Secrets by Kelley Armstrong is the last book in the Rockton series. Tucked away in the Yukon wilderness, the council is slowly shutting down the town until someone reveals secrets and bodies turn up dead. An exciting conclusion that has left me hoping for a spinoff.

Back in London after her mother falls ill, Violet Harper is asked to handle the funeral of Anthony Fairmont, the Viscount Raybourn, a close friend of Queen Victoria’s who died under suspicious circumstances. Violet soon investigates as one murder becomes two….
I read a review of Dead Cat, Run by Annabelle Lewis and grabbed the kindle version, but later discovered I had won signed paperback copies of the first two books in this series. I quickly devoured both books. Dead Cat, Run is a delightful, suspenseful tale surrounds the fates. Grab a cup of coffee and see why I recommend Dead Cat, Run.
I loved the idea of a female undertaker in Victorian London solving murders and was delighted to begin Lady of Ashes by Christine Trent. Narrated by Polly Lee, the tale delivered mystery, history and a side of romance as our protagonist suspects death by unnatural causes. Grab a cup of hot cocoa and see why I recommend this first in series.
