It’s no secret that I love the Kate Daniels series and that I must listen to the audio version with Renée Raudman first. Magic Binds in another stellar edition to the series written by the fabulous husband and wife duo the are Ilona Andrews. With wedding bells fastly approaching Kate is about to pull out her hair as Daddy causes trouble and a Witch Oracle predicts the burning of Atlanta and Curran’s death if she says, “I do.” Gripping, Intense, and emotional Magic Binds bound my heart.
Shadow Silence by Yasmine Galenorn
Shadow Silence is the second book in the Whisper Hollow fantasy series by Yasmine Galenorn. While it looks like this is the last book in the series to be published by Berkeley/NAL, Galenorn plans to continue the series and I could not be more thrilled. From the town on Crescent Lake known as Whisper Hollow to the folklore I love this series and its characters.
The Cottage on Pumpkin and Vine by Kate Angell, Jennifer Dawson and Sharla Lovelace
I love anthologies particularly ones surrounding a holiday theme. The Cottage on Pumpkin and Vine by Kate Angell, Jennifer Dawson and Sharla Lovelace takes place in Moonbright, Maine at a picturesque B&B. Three romances surrounded by apple bobbing, crisp autumn air and a little magic make it a must read.
The Angel Stone by Juliet Dark
The Fairwick Chronicles by Juliet Dark (a pseudonym for Carol Goodman) has been an absolutely delightful journey and I was both excited and sadden to begin Angel Stone the final book in this trilogy. From the setting to the supernatural creatures this has been a magical journey with fascinating creatures, and a romance that kept me on edge. The final book delivered as we saw character growth, and had questions answered. Three word review: enchanting, thrilling and filled with folklore.
Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas
Crown of Midnight by Sara J. Maas is the second book in the Throne of Glass series and this, this my friends is what all second books should aspire to be! Not since Dark Triumph have I been so impressed by a second book. Mass gave us a story within a story and captured my attention from page one. Three word review: brilliant, intense, and captivating.
