Spring Thaw is part of an anthology of short whodunits by Lauren Carr, but for this post I am only reviewing the Chris Matheson Cold Case Mystery, Spring Thaw. A clever whodunit regarding the death of a clergy.
I enjoyed Chalk Man and was excited to dive into The Hiding Place by C.J. Tudor. Narrated by Richard Armitage, Tudor’s second novel offered a spin-tingling, creepy suspense with some supernatural elements that reminded me of Pet Sematary by Stephen King.

I enjoy the Mercy Kilpatrick series by Kendra Elliot and I was excited to dive into A Merciful Fate. This is the fifth novel, in the series and I was not disappointed. For me, it was the strongest murder-mystery of the series. An unsolved, thirty-year-old bank heist gave way to suspense, townie secrets and more.
This series is brilliant. One of my favorite Sherlock Holmes retellings EVER! The Hollow of Fear by Sherry Thomas is the third book in the Lady Sherlock series. I picked up all three audiobook versions, and FINALLY in November listened to them all for a challenge.
