Amanda Quick is one of my favorite authors, and I was excited to slip into one of her historical romance. Otherwise Engaged is a romantic suspense that delivered quite the mystery, with spies for the crown, and murder. It also offered a delicious romance with a feisty, travel-wise heroine and a geeky hero who made me swoon.
How the Scoundrel Seduces by Sabrina Jeffries
I have been thoroughly enjoying the Duke’s Men series by Sabrina Jeffries with its regency romances and suspenseful mysteries. How the Scoundrel Seduces shares investigator Tristan Bonnaud’s story and that of a young woman we met in the last pages of When the Rogue Returns. Tristan is swoon-worthy and I adored seeing him fall. How the Scoundrel Seduces brings us laughter, romance and suspense while tying up some threads from previous books. I consumed this in a single evening and was left pining for the next book.
How to Lose a Lord in 10 Days or Less by Elizabeth Michels
How to Lose A Lord in 10 Days or Less is the third book in the Tricks of the Ton series by Elizabeth Michels. This is a series I have thoroughly enjoyed with feisty, original female protagonists and complicated heroes. Laced with humor, passion and suspenseful moments How to Lose a Lord in 10 Days or Less was a fun romp that had me laughing and sighing. I found myself lost within its pages.
Engaging the Earl by Diana Quincy
I have thoroughly enjoyed the Accidental Peers series by Diana Quincy, so when an opportunity presented itself to review the newest novel, Engaging the Earl I jumped at the chance. While this was not my favorite of the series, Quincy once again gave me a feisty heroine to make me laugh and a hero who I felt for even as I wanted to slap him in the back of the head.
Grim Shadows by Jenn Bennett
I am in love with the naughty, charismatic Magnusson brothers. After I finished reading this Carmel @ Rapid Reads tweeted me and asked, “Who was your favorite brother? Winter or Lowe?” I was stumped because I loved them both for different reasons. Lowe has a boy like quality to him that appealed to me, where as Winter is more controlled. If you have not yet read a Jenn Bennett novel….commit her name to memory because she is now an auto-buy for me. Grim Shadows is the second novel in her Roaring Twenties series and it blends several genres to create a tale that will keep you spellbound and a romance that will make you swoon.
