Opening one of Chris Bohjalian’s novels is like opening a present. Each is unique and masterfully written as he shares everything from suspense to war-torn lovers. The Guest Room takes us to the quiet suburbs of Westchester NY, where a bachelor party ends with a double homicide and far-reaching consequences. Skillfully written and engaging I slipped in and read until the end.
Succubus Heat, Shadows & Revealed by Richelle Mead
I am working my way through series on my TBR pile/Wishlist and finally devoured the Georgina Kincaid series. Grab a cup of cocoa and some Christmas cookies while I share my thoughts on Succubus Heat, Succubus Shadows and Succubus Revealed.
Fated by Sarah Fine
Fated by Sarah Fine is the final book in the Servants of Fate series. I listened to this series and loved the world and characters. This series was my first experience with Sarah Fine but rest assured we have begun a long-term relationship and I am eager to listen to her previously published books and the new ones yet to come. Brilliant, gut wrenching and action packed Fine did not hold back and Fated packed a punch.
See Me by Nicholas Sparks
See Me by Nicholas Sparks is a romantic suspense that is heavy on the suspense, but offers up a sweet romance with character growth for our somewhat gruff but likeable hero. Narrated by Christopher Ryan Grant See Me began slowly and had a few bumps but ultimately was a listen that kept me engaged.
Secret Sisters by Jayne Ann Krentz
Secret Sisters by Jayne Ann Krentz is a suspenseful murder mystery thriller served with a side dish of romance. It is the perfect read to snuggle up with by the fire on a cold winter day. Krentz takes us into the lives of Madeline and Daphne two friends who share a secret that is over eighteen years old. It’s a secret they may just get them killed.
