I first discovered The Buried Book by D.M. Pulley in my Prime Library through Amazon and earmarked it to read. I love a good mystery and liked the rural historical setting. In January Audible had a sale offering up all the daily deals. While browsing, I saw that Luke Daniels narrated this and one-clicked. I am so glad that I did, as The Buried Book proved to be an addictive tale.
Veiled Enchantments by Deborah Blake
Veiled Enchantments by Deborah Blake is the third novel in the urban fantasy series Veiled Magic. Character growth, a surprising twist and a mystery surrounding a haunting in Magnus’s Ulfhednar shapechangers community had me devouring this in a single lazy afternoon.
The Purloined Poodle by Kevin Hearne
I adore Oberon the Irish Wolfhound who is Atticus O’Sullivan’s companion in the Iron Druid Chronicles. The series mentions Oberon’s Meaty Mysteries and I knew I had to listen. The Purloined Poodle is the first and while it takes place in the world of the Iron Druids it is more of a mystery that Oberon solves with the assistance of Atticus. Suspenseful and hilarious this was splendid.
Winter Sisters by Robin Oliveira
Please welcome Sophia Rose to Caffeinated as she takes us to Albany, New York in 1879 for a historical fiction wrapped in mystery. Come check out Winter Sisters by Robin Oliveira.
Watchmaker’s Heart by Juli D. Revezzo
The Watchmaker’s Heart by Juli D. Revezzo delivered a historical romance with steampunk elements and a nice bit of suspenseful mystery. Penelope “Phoebe” Lockswell is a bit of a tinkerer and has created a somewhat scandalous diffuser. I enjoyed this feisty heroine, and Revezzo quickly pulled me into this tale.
