The subject matter of Aftermath is upsetting but I received a copy in the mail and decided to try it. I am really glad that I did. While relevant, it takes a look at the families affected by school shooting and shares the friendship between a shooter’s sister and the brother of a victim. Armstrong added a suspenseful thread and sweet romance to the story making it a worthy read.
Grey Sister by Mark Lawrence
Grey Sister by Mark Lawrence is the second novel in the brilliant Book of the Ancestor series and once again Lawerence transported me to the Convent of Sweet Mercy where Nona must choose her path. Captivating, well-developed and engaging Mark Lawerence is a mesmerizing and skillful storyteller.
The V Card by Lauren Blakely & Lili Valente
Lauren Blakely teamed up with author Lili Valente to deliver a swoon-worthy “friends to lovers” romance that will make you smile. Narrated by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York, The V Card was sexy, hot and adorkable with Blakley’s flair for humor in this delightfully sexy dual povs RomCom.
About That Kiss by Jill Shalvis
About That Kiss by Jill Shalvis is the fifth novel in the Heartbreaker Bay series and once again Shalvis transported me to this quaint little community and pulled me into Kylie and Joe’s story. It was fun seeing these sexy, and stubborn characters tumble.
Eye Candy by Jessica Lemmon
EYE CANDY by Jessica Lemmon was a delightful, friends to lovers romance that I devoured on a Sunday afternoon. Best friends help each other after their marriages fall apart but movies on the sofa bring ideas of something more. Is either brave enough to make the first move?
