Truly Sweet is the last book in the Sweet, Texas series by Candis Terry and it was one of my favorites. Former Marine Jake Wilder has returned home after being honorable discharged. He carries with him a world of guilt and pain. Truly Sweet is a friends to lovers romance and it delivered all the swoons, tears and joy one comes to expect when embarking on one of Terry’s small-town romances.
I have been enjoying the Sweet, Texas series by Candis Terry. She delivers small-town romances with a touch of heat, family and delightful characters. While Sweet Surprise will not earn a place among my favorites, it was a sweet romance filled with fun, cupcakes and the second half had me smiling.
It is no secret that I love Candis Terry’s Sweet, Texas series. Cowboys, family, and a sweet romance make this series delightful. Terry makes it all the sweeter with her small-town Texas, setting. Therefore, it only makes sense that I had to add Sweet Cowboy Christmas to my Ho-Ho-Ho read-a-thon reads. I am so glad that I did. Chase and Faith were sweet, and despite it being, a novella Terry gave us a sweet slow-building romance.
It was fun returning to the small-town of Sweet, Texas in Candis Terry’s third book Something Sweeter. We met veterinarian and former Marine Jesse Wilder in the previous two novels and I could not wait for his story. Fans of small-towns, families and sweet romances will adore the Sweet, Texas series and the Wilder brothers.
Sweetest Mistake is my second trip to Sweet, Texas a small town in Candis Terry’s Sweet, Texas series. Last year I read and enjoyed Anything But Sweet. Sweetest Mistake was in a word, yummy. This tale features firefighter and ex-marine Jackson Wilder. It is a friendship to lover, second chance romance with lovable, flawed characters, and I literally consumed this.
Confessions of a Secret Admirer: A Valentine’s Day Anthology was the perfect pick me up to elevate me during these frigid temperatures. From second chance love to crushes all three tales left me smiling. Mini review: perfect like a box of chocolates without the calories.
When it comes to contemporary romance one of my personal favorites are those set in small-towns. Anything But Sweet by Candis Terry set in Sweet, Texas delivered a delicious tale with townsfolk that captured my heart, had me singing country western songs and swooning over a hot, ex-marine, cowboy. Three word review: romantic, captivating and hot.
