Open Endings can be both wonderful and infuriating but most of the time I actually like them. I know some of you are rolling your eyes and yes there have been times when we are left wondering if somehow we are missing the final pages in our ARC or finished copy. Truth be told though, most of the time I kind of prefer them…
See Them Run by Stacy Green
See Them Run is the second Lucy Kendall book by Stacy Green. Suspenseful with engaging characters I once again slipped into Lucy’s world as she plays judge, jury and executioner. Green takes us into the seedy world of child sex trafficking in this well-crafted thriller.
Once Loved by Cecy Robson
Once Loved is the second, book in Cecy Robson’s Shattered Past NA series. While it still follows the same formula of your typical NA novels, I felt this was stronger than Once Perfect the first book and had more depth. We see family, growth and our heroine is one tough little cookie who says, “Enough, is enough”
Magic Strikes by Ilona Andrews
OMG! As Kate Daniels would say, “Sh@t, f@ck, Sh@t.” Magic Strikes about blew my mind. Action packed with moments that had me gritting my teeth, laughing aloud and swooning like a schoolgirl. I am addicted to this series.
First Frost by Sarah Addison Allen
I was ecstatic when I discovered that First Frost by Sarah Addison Allen was to be the second book about the Waverley Family. I discovered Garden Spells quite by accident back in 2011 pre-blog and fell in love with both the book and the author. It has remained among my favorite books and opened the door to magical realism. First Frost was everything I could have hoped for and more.
