Third Grave Dead Ahead is the third novel in the Charley Davidson series. While I personally do not recommend it, these urban fantasies can be read as a standalone. I have loved this series from its inception. Jones writing style and gift for sarcastic humor has this series on my pre-order list. This novel was released on January 31st, 2012 and after a failed attempt to read it in one evening. (I fell asleep sometime around 2 AM with my nook in my hands..LOL) I quickly consumed the remaining chapters the next day.
Torn by Dean Murray
Torn is a YA paranormal romance filled with shape-shifters and power struggles. Murray creates a tale that is both fascinating and unique. This novel kept me engaged and I finished it in one evening.
Starters by Lissa Price
When I saw the cover and read the synopsis I was immediately intrigued by Starters. I have a real love for dystopias and post-apocalyptic novels. Starters is the debut novel of Lissa Price and the exciting start of a new series. The world-building and story are fascinating. Parts of the tale, had a disturbing ring of truth to them. This novel quickly captured my attention and I breezed through it in a single day.
Against the Night by Kat Martin
Against the Night is the fifth novel in the Raines of Wind Canyon series by Kat Martin. The series began by telling each brother’s story and now we are learning about their close friend retired Army Ranger, Johnnie Riggs. Martin delivers suspenseful contemporary romances with strong, noble men and the woman who fall for them.
Copper Beach by Jayne Ann Krentz
If you have been following my blog you know that Jayne Anne Krentz, aka, Amanda Quick, aka, Jayne Castle writes one of my favorite series the Arcane Society. Cooper Beach is a spin-off series that introduces a new family; the Coppersmiths. This is a contemporary paranormal romance filled with mystery and suspense. This is book one of the Dark Legacy series (or trilogy), I devoured it in one evening and loved it.
