The Trap by Andrew Fukuda

Since the beginning, I have loved Andrew Fukuda’s twisted Hunt trilogy. His unique take on vampires in The Hunt and then the mind-bending twists of The Prey. The Trap was one of my most anticipated books for 2013 and boy howdy, Fukuda did not disappoint. The Trap was a non-stop, action packed tale, with a conclusion that once again blew my mind. Mini review: smart, spine-chilling, with intense action scenes and revelations that will leave you screaming!

No Duke Goes Unpunished the third book in the Rules of Scoundrels by Sarah MacLean was one of my most anticipated books . I received a bound arc in October and was so excited, but the printer was off, and the text was so small and so light, that even with glasses I couldn’t read it. Yes, there were tears. Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson

Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson was an absolute blast to read. This science-fiction dystopian is a superheroes lovers dream. Villains, heroes, technological abilities and action kept me spellbound. This was a smashing beginning to the Reckoners trilogy and one I cannot wait to continue. Mini review: entertaining, and engrossing with fascinating rebels that kept me flippin’ the pages.

Season for Scandal by Theresa Romain

Season for Scandal is the third book in Theresa Romain’s Holiday Pleasures series. The tale offers up a twist on the marriage of convenience trope with complicated and troubled characters. While this wasn’t my favorite, it was well paced with suspense and mystery that kept me engaged. Mini review: secrets complicated characters and slow to build romance.
