Do you have a favorite series? Ya know the one where EVERY DANG THING stops on release day and you consume the newest release only to suffer a book hangover and cry because you have to wait another year for the next book? A series you quote, whose fandom you belong to? Yes, I am a card carrying GRIMLET!
A Merciful Fate by Kendra Elliot
I enjoy the Mercy Kilpatrick series by Kendra Elliot and I was excited to dive into A Merciful Fate. This is the fifth novel, in the series and I was not disappointed. For me, it was the strongest murder-mystery of the series. An unsolved, thirty-year-old bank heist gave way to suspense, townie secrets and more.
Artificial Condition by Martha Wells
Narrated by Kevin R. Free, Artificial Condition by Martha Wells is the second novella in the Murderbot Diaries an off-planet science fiction that is wildly addictive. The audio is just the right length to devour on a road trip or as I did while doing mundane Saturday chores which suddenly became exciting.
Untouchable by Jayne Ann Krentz
Untouchable by Jayne Ann Krentz wraps up the Cutler, Sutter, & Salinas romantic suspense series. A little heat, plenty of heart pounding action and a hypnotist made for an interesting story as Krentz brought this series to a close.
Dark Peak by Adam J. Wright
I discovered Dark Peak by Adam J. Wright in an offer for audio review copies and was initially drawn to the cover. Once I read the synopsis, I knew I had to uncover the mysteries surrounding Blackden Edge. Is there a serial killer? What happened to Sarah?
