Last year I shared my fear of spiders and my review of THE HATCHING book one in the Hatching trilogy. SKITTER by Ezekiel Boone is the second novel, and once again he takes us around the world as the second wave of spiders gets ready to emerged. Creepy and realistic this apocalyptic tale will leave you screaming.
A MURDER IN TIME by Julie McElwain narrated by Lucy Rayner introduces us to Kendra Donovan, in this time-traveling 1800s whodunit. At times brilliant, this intriguing tale kept me listening even if this was not my favorite narration.
AT THE CEMETERY GATES by John Brhel & Joseph Sullivan is a collection of fourteen short stories. It shares a nice mix of supernatural, macabre, and urban legend tales. Like most anthology collections it offered a mixed bag of stories. Grab a cup of Joe and read my thoughts on each tale.
I enjoy the writings of Seanan McGuire and those under her pen name Mira Grant. When I saw DUSK OR DAWN OR DAWN OR DUSK I immediately one-clicked. McGuire offers a unique take on ghosts that took us from the cornfields of Kansas to the inner city streets of New York. A brilliant world and concept that left me hankering for more.
