These are a few of my favorite “Romance” Tropes…

Next time I will share tropes that make me run the other way. Grab a cup of your favorite caffeinated beverage. I am enjoying an iced vanilla coffee. Check out my favorites and then tell me some of yours.
The Lying Game: A Novel by Ruth Ware
Ruth Ware has become an auto audio by for me. I love her suspenseful thrillers filled with twists and captivating, sometimes quirky characters. THE LYING GAME, her third novel takes us to the idyllic coastal village of Salten. Here she introduces us to a cast of female characters who have been friends since school. Friends who have been carrying a secret for seventeen years. Narrated by Imogen Church, Ware spun a suspenseful tale with rich characters and clever twists.
An Offer From a Gentleman by Julia Quinn
AN OFFER FROM A GENTLEMAN by Julia Quinn is the third novel in the delightful historical romance series, Bridgertons. Quinn has fun with this tale delivering a fairy tale retelling of the classic Cinderella complete with an evil stepmother. I delighted in the story even if miscommunication frustrated me.
Spellbook of the Lost and Found by Moïra Fowley-Doyle

SPELLBOOK OF THE LOST AND FOUND did not disappoint delivering magical realism, diverse characters and lyrical prose I quickly became caught up in the girl’s adventure.
