It was a quiet week with the Royals in school. Hazel and I kept busy. On Tuesday, my husband took the day off and we went out for lunch. On Thursday, we went out for burgers with our adult children and Hazel. It was nice getting everyone together for a non-event. The weather continues to be cool with plenty of rain. Stay Caffeinated.

A quiet week is definitely welcome here. I hope you are having a great week so far, Kimberly.

A quiet week sounds good! I hope the Royals are having a great beginning of school and I’m sure Hazel is loving the one on one time. I have Haunted Ever After on my TBR. I’m so excited to read it! I hope you’re having a great week!
Barb @ Booker T's Farm
Can’t wait for the read-a-thon! Great books you’ve accumulated this week!
Jenni Elyse
I’m glad you had a good week and that you got to spend time with your adult children and Hazel. The weather is a bit cooler where I am too due to a lot of rain and hail. Have a great week!
Jinjer
Sounds like a nice week with lunches out!
Meezan
Have a great week, and feel free to send that cool weather my way! 🙂

It’s hard to think about Ho Ho Ho right now but I know you want to give everyone time to get it on their calendars. I’m not ready for summer to end. I keep looking at Apprentice to the Villain but I’m a little afraid that I’ll get it confused with Hench by Natalie Zina Walschots, just based on the name. Enjoy your week!
Sophia Rose
Looks like you had a nice week! Fun that you had a ‘just because’ family gathering. Lots of goodies in your haul.
Have a good week, Kimberly!

My son starts back to school late this week and my daughter the next week. This summer flew by!
I hope you have a good week this week!
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
Nice to have a quiet week after your busy summer! And a get-together with your children “just because,” instead of for a special event. That’s one of the things I miss with not having family nearby.
Have a good week, and have fun reading those new arrivals!

We did have a storm roll through last night but it was mostly windy with some thunder booms but i don’t think it rained at all. Kiddo has just finished his summer class for college so now he just relaxing tell fall quarter starts in late september.

I’m glad you are having it a bit more relaxed with the kids in school. Excited to see the HoHoHoRat is a bit later this year. It’s easier for me to read holiday books later.
Kimberly
I get it. It was originally bloggers who took part, and it allowed them to read books for December posts on their blogs. But it’s now mostly readers and bookstagrammers now.
Sophie
Not having to cook is great and eating with family is even better. Here to another quiet week.

It’s been raining her in Illinois too. My tomatoes are splitting from all the rainfall! So nice that you had some relaxed family time. We started school on Friday, so tomorrow begins our first full week!

My week was quiet as well. A lunch date is the perfect way to start a day. It’s nice the family got to be all together, too. Happy reading, Kimberly. 😊📚🌻

Jealous of the cool weather! We had the heat back this week. I read Haunted Ever After this past week, hope you enjoy it too!
Emma @ Words And Peace
Cool weather here to, actually too cool for August in Chicagoland. We even had one day in the 60s, really weird
Kimberly
Yes, I am wearing sweatpants today…lol I hope this isn’t an sign that we are in for a cold, wet winter.
Jodie
I enjoy those quiet weeks and a date for lunch is especially sweet. Have a wonderful week Kimberly!
Jessica @ a GREAT read
Sounds like a nice week! We have moved back to sweltering temperatures and I am hating it! Lol. Upper 90s to start then through in the humidity and we’re topping triple digits on the heat index. Ready for fall in October*, that’s for sure! Our fall never starts when it’s supposed to and we’re lucky if it starts early October, but usually it’s late October! Lol.
Nice new reads! I am excited for this book in Kim’s series! I still need to read last year’s book, a fact I am ashamed to admit! Also really curious about Haunted Ever After! Look forward to your thoughts on that one!
Happy Reading!
