I am disgusted with my health at the moment. It is depressing. Hoping Spring clears me up, but I am not sure I can do another winter in a cold climate. To cheer up, I had fun filling my kindle with books by author’s who were impacted by the audio narrator scandal. He narrates under another name in an urban fantasy series I am enjoying. I am hoping the narrator is changed. Ugh…why can’t people behave? Stay Caffeinated.

Winter does seem to hit you so hard. I hope you are feeling better soon. It is annoying when people don’t behave and ruin stuff for everyone. Drives me crazy. I hope you are having a much better week.

    Hallo, Hallo everyone!

After a very long hibernation, I’m returning to blogging. I announced our 7th Year of Wyrd And Wonder recently and I am back-posting my latest Sunday Post to this past Saint Patricks’ as I’ve been holding onto this blog update post since before 2024 began! It is definitely a journal of time, thoughts and life! Laughs. Looking forward to visiting with others who have already shared their posts! 🙂 Just glad to be back in the community again. I’ve missed reading and blogging — the reasons why are revealled in this post, too.

PS: Kimberly – I hear you about your health! I had a bad bout of ills recently and am grateful they’ve left me. It isn’t easy to always shake stuff esp in Winter or Spring – so I hope you’ll be feeling much better, soon! Sorry its the deadly cold and harshness of Winter that grips you too hard. I have the opposite issue with Summer! 🙁

  3. Gail

Hope you feel better soon. Our winter seems to have been endless, and it’s been raining since December! Thanks for the link-up.

  4. vidya

hoping you feel all better really soon.. had seen a mention of the scandal but did not pay much attention at the time

I’m sorry to hear that your health is still not good, Kimberly. I have a tough time with depression in the cold, gray world, which is why I go to Florida for 12 weeks each winter. That isn’t always easy for people, but it works for me. I hope the spring like weather and sunshine helps.

  6. Sophie

Kimberly I really hope your health will be much better and that next winter you won’t catch all the germs! Also yes, why can’t people behave indeed!

  7. sjhigbee

So sorry to hear that you are still struggling so badly with your health:((. I know only too well that if your health cracks – so does the rest of your life. I hope you can find something to improve things soon. Take care, Kimberlyx

I had not heard about the audiobook scandal. I feel for the authors who have been affected. Regarding the cold winters, would it be possible to move to a warmer climate? Though I know you would hate to miss out on the time with the Royals. But your health is important. At any rate, I hope you feel better soon… and the weather warms up. (But not too much!)

Sending healing thoughts. I had to google the narrator thing not sure I ever listened to this narrator but I rarely pay attention to who is narratoring the book. Happy St Patrick day.

Ugh, sorry you’re still not feeling completely healthy! I hope that spring will get things going on the right side of that. Yeah, the audiobook narrator thing sucks. But I don’t expect authors to have to go back and change past books. As long as they don’t use him now it makes sense. And I won’t stop supporting an author if they had him narrate past books. That’s not fair to the author who didn’t know at the time. It sucks especially because I did like his narration.

Agreed. People were returning audiobooks, and the authors who are contracted with him through 2024…ugh. This is why I bought books and not just under his JA name which is a pseudonym but also the other name JPC. And of course I will no longer support BN titles as he and is wife own company. It is very sad.

I am so sorry you are dealing with this too. My began as a sinus infection but its bronchitis and all upper respiratory with nose, ears and head. My voice is destroyed…I sound like a 99 year old heavy smoker. HAHA.

  11. Stormi

Hope you feel better soon, I know it must suck to be sick all the time.
I haven’t heard of a narrator scandal, do tell?? I don’t get most of the scandalous deets as I am not on a lot of the social places it happens on…lol.

Have a great week and happy reading!

Oh no! Sorry to hear you’re still sick! I hope you feel better soon! I must have missed this latest bookish scandal! I hate hearing about these things in the bookish community. It’s supposed to be a happy place!

Here’s to better health! I did read about the scandal. SMH. But I did check under his name on Audible, and I didn’t see any books I listened to that he narrated. 🙏🏽

  15. Jill

I missed the audio narrator scandal. Not sure I want to know, but I suppose I should look it up.

I hope you feel better soon!

  16. Greg

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!!! I hear you on the weather. And I’m sorry to hear about the health issues. Cold climates are hard…

  17. Lola

Sorry to hear you’re still dealing with your health struggles. That’s so stressful and difficult to deal with if you keep feeling not good. Hopefully spring will help and you feel better soon. Have a great week!

  18. Maree

I’m sorry you’re still not feeling well – I hope this is a better week for you.

You are going to kick all this illness to the curb soon. Spring will bring freshness and light. Then you have to be vigilant and proactive to build your immune system back up for next winter. You are a fighter, you got this.
