We were forecast for snow on Friday and they called School for e-learning. Which means the Royals are off until Tuesday. We ended up with 5 inches and bitter cold temperature, but things are warming up to 40 today. Did I mention I am over winter? LOL Everyone in the house is healthy again, so knock on wood. Due to rising cases, we are once again having our shopping delivered and staying at home. Hoping there is a light somewhere at the end of this tunnel. In the meantime, I am still woefully behind. Sophia turns seven this month and is getting excited about her birthday. SEVEN. How is this even possible? Elbow hugs! Stay Caffeinated.

    Keep warm and safe!
Less snow in Chicago, also in the 40s today, which actually feels warm and weird. That’s when it tells you I have been living there for too long, lol.
The Couple at Number 9 is intriguing

  2. Tyler H. Jolley

Wow, seven! I can’t believe it. This winter has seemed exceptionally awful this year, hasn’t it? Hopefully you have a nicer week and stay healthy!

  3. vidya

Elbow hugs to you and keeping fingers crossed for continued health for everyone… We are finally boosted in our home, and hoping the teens school and college stay in-person …

  4. Hena Tayeb

Happy in advance birthday to Sophia.. I have a brand new 8 year old in my house and I know.. how?
Glad to know everyone is feeling better now. Stay warm.

  5. Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard

We had snow this weekend, too — today. But it’s all washing away in the rain now.

Sophia is SEVEN?!!! I agree, it seems impossible. The last few years feel interminably long, and at the same time it’s as though we’ve all been on hold… so kids growing up should be on hold, too. (And us getting older, too. I wish!)

I’m glad everyone is healthy, and that you’re being careful with this Omicron surge. We are too. We’re doing curbside pickup for groceries, library holds — pretty much everything we can’t have shipped. (There’s no grocery delivery here; we’re a little too far from town for that.)

I am glad I am not in any colder weather than we have. I struggle to stay warm in our big house.
I’m glad you are all healthy again and I hope it stays that way.
The Family You Make looks good.
    Enjoy all of your reading!

  7. Wendy

I’m so glad you’re all feeling better. Like you, we’re all staying home as our numbers here in Arizona are way up. Stay healthy and safe!

  8. Cindy Davis

We are getting ice here today. The power is flickering, hope it stays on. I never stopped doing grocery pickup and cases are insane. I just want to live in a bubble for a while and avoid it all. I like the looks of The Honeymoon cottage. I hope you enjoy all your books.

Hope you get some warmer weather soon! Yay for everyone being well, though. I’m super excited for the newest Rockton! I have an e-ARC but I always purchase the audio because my husband loves the series too and he only listens to audios for reading now. Have a lovely week, Kimberly!

Glad you’re all feeling better! We got the snow on the weekend, so while it cancelled basketball games on Saturday, no school was cancelled. They did tell us that the teacher work day on Tuesday we could stay home for. Normally I would, but if the roads aren’t bad, I’m going to go ahead and go in on Tuesday, a little later than usual though. It will be a day I’m able to actually do library stuff without interruption.

I’m so thrilled to hear everyone is well and you are staying safe. I don’t mind the seasons as they all have something different and fun. Of course I moved to a place where there is less winter and more spring/fall weather. But I spent 35 years in Minnesota so I had plenty of winter.

I am so happy to hear everyone is healthy and I too am so over winter. Please pace yourself and don’t overdo, I would hate to have you relapse. (((hugs))).

  13. Mareli Thalwitzer

Covid numbers are sky high here as well, but with very few serious cases reported. Maybe herd immunity is finally on the cards here. I think the warm weather helps a lot too.

Please take care of yourself and stay safe!

We got a bit of snow this morning and now it’s turning to sleet. Yuck. Hard to believe how fast the grandkiddos grow up, right? Kyleigh will be 8 next month then Boone 6 in March followed by Oliver turning 2 in May. And we have another on the way in July. Time sure flies!

  15. Jen at Introverted Reader

    Yay for a healthy family!

My husband and I have been chasing decent weather for 3 years. We’ve been bitterly complaining because the lows here in Charleston ate regularly around 40. Oops. I hope things warm up for you soon.

    Enjoy your week!

  16. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Glad everyone is well again! That’s a relief! I can’t believe Sophia is 7! I remember when you were just posting and announcing her birth! It’s crazy how time flies!

Nice new reads! I read Kelley’s book not too long ago and loved it! I hope you enjoy all of your new reads!

    That’s great news that everyone in the house is healthy again! {knocks on wood}

I noticed on the news that here in Arkansas they refer to kids doing school from home as AMI Days. I wanted to guess the acronym myself so I’ve been trying to figure it out for months. Finally gave up and Googled. Ohhh….duhhhhh. Alternative Methods of Instruction!!! So simple. I should’ve got that one.

And I thought we got it bad. It got down to the negative double digits but just a dusting of snow. My daughter just turned 18 on Thursday, so I totally get how time flies it seems like just yesterday I was bringing her home from the hospital. Hope she has a great birthday and you have a wonderful week.

  19. Lola

Glad to hear you’re all healthy again! I hope you stay that way for the rest of winter πŸ™‚

  20. Emily @Budget Tales Book Blog

Oh snow! We so rarely see it here in South East England! My son saw his first snow when he was 2!

Glad that you are now all well.

    Case numbers here are ridiculous!

Have a good weekend and week ahead

  21. CJR The Brit

It’s been cold here too but the sun is out today. Cases in the UK were massive but it seems to be coming down quickly which is a good thing. I get our shopping delivered too so then I don’t need to deal with people!!!

  22. Sophie

She will be seven already??? Where did the time go Kimberly? And we still have to see some snow here, sigh. Also I am very happy that everyone is healthy again! Have a good week!

  23. Lorna

We’re supposed to get snow this afternoon and evening. Probably 2 inches but who knows? Western part of the state is getting a foot. 7 years old! Doesn’t seem possible even though I feel like I’ve watched her grow up. I bet she’s excited. Have a good week and stay safe and warm.

  24. Laurel-Rain Snow

I am glad your weather is improving a bit.

I have been having things delivered for the past two years! I like it. Between shopping online and having food deliveries, I feel spoiled.

But…I do like going out to shop for some things. I need to buy a few more pieces of furniture for my apartment, and I’m over having to have items shipped that need to be assembled. LOL.

Enjoy your time with the Royals.

  25. Greg

It’s been cold here too. And cases are bad here as well. Sigh. Glad to hear everyone is healthy there though. stay safe!

Looking forward to reading that Armstrong!
