A Lowcountry Christmas by Mary Alice Monroe is the fifth novel in her popular Lowcountry Summer series. This was my first experience with both and Monroe delighted me with this story as she shared one family’s struggles. It’s almost Christmas and finances are tight bringing disappointment to their youngest as their oldest son struggles with PTSD.

Lowcountry Stranger by Ashley Farley is the second novel in the Sweeney Sisters series. Once again we join Faith, Jackie, Sam and their circle of family and friends as they deal with love, family and the daily challenges found in this coastal town. Farley weaved suspense and drama into the tale with the arrival of a stranger in Prospect.
Leaving Amy by Julieann Dove is the second book in the Amy trilogy. It highlights a young woman’s struggles in finding herself, recovering from betrayal and the vicissitudes of love. I devoured Leaving Amy and became emotionally invested.
