Disobedience by Alvania Scarborough

Disobedience by Alvania Scarborough is the first novel in the Harker’s Hell series. It is an intriguing blend of science fiction and romantic suspense. I found myself completely caught up in its Old West world and historical romance vibe. A simmering romance, humor and a mystery threaded throughout the tale had me flipping the pages. Fresh, original and genre bending Scarborough gave me one heck of an adventure.

In Want of a Wife by Jo Goodman

I love westerns, historical novels and mail order bride tropes, so when the chance to read, In Want of a Wife by Jo Goodman came up I snagged it. Boy Howdy, am I glad I did. I consumed this in two sittings and I am looking forward to reading more from Goodman.

One of my favorite series by her is the McKettrick’s series and boy howdy! Set in 1914 in Texas, A Lawman’s Christmas is the perfect short novel for a cold winter eve. This tale is all about Clay McKettrick the son of Chloe and Jeb. I consumed this in a single afternoon and it certainly got me in the holiday spirit

Trouble in Texas by Katie Lane

If you have been following my reviews you know how anal I am about reading books in order so when I downloaded and accepted an ARC of Trouble in Texas and discovered in was book four I was pretty darn nervous; in fact I kept shuffling it back in my reading pile..But holy hot cowboys am I glad the responsible side of me that keeps and honors commitments forced me to read it. Lane gave me a delightful tale that had me laughing, crying, giggling and sighing! This was a fast paced story, with wonderful characters that I connected too and had me buying the previous books in the series. Like a lot of the series I love each book can be read as a standalone and centers on a couple.
