Day One by Nate Kenyon

Day One by Nate Kenyon is an eerily plausible science-fiction thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat as we experience the first day of a cyber takeover in the heart of New York City. The synopsis says Cloverfield meets the Terminator and that is exactly what Kenyon delivered. Three word review: thrilling, terrifying and past-paced.

The King’s Deception by Steve Berry

I love suspense thrillers and find myself wrapped up in the secrets, agencies, secret societies and the quest to unearth the truth, so I was excited to read The King’s Deception by Steve Berry. While this is the eighth book in the Cotton Malone series, it can be read as a standalone. Filled with political intrigue and Tudor secrets this tale kept me on edge. Three word review: suspenseful, riveting and action-packed.

11/22/63 by Stephen King

I received 11/22/63 from Klout as a perk. As a lifelong fan of Stephen King, I was delighted. I have read all of King’s work and can honestly say I have enjoyed them all. Some of my favorites were the Talisman written with Peter Straub, Lawnmower Man, It, the Gunslinger and my personal favorite the Stand. 11/22/63 is a breathtaking glimpse at one of the most talked about events in US History and the era in which it occurred. King’s research on the subject is evident, as he accurately details the past. Being a fan of sci-fi and Dr. Who, I found the subject of time travel and its effects fascinating.
