Hard to Be Good by Laura Kaye

Hard to Be Good is a novella in the Hark Ink series by Laura Kaye while it is not necessary to follow the main story, we do see the after effects at the end of book three and get a swoony LGBT romance with plenty of heat. This story pushed me beyond my typical comfort zone. As a straight woman, I was not sure I could connect let alone enjoy an M/M romance. Trust No One by Jayne Ann Krentz

Jayne Ann Krentz is a go to author for me, from her paranormal to romantic suspense she delivers regardless of the name she uses. Trust No One is a standalone romantic suspense that held me spellbound, made me laugh and allowed me to settle in and lose myself within the story.

Merchant Master by Alvania Scarborough

This is the second book I have read by Alvania Scarborough and I love her writing style. Merchant Master is the first book in the Lost Colony series and once again, I found myself drawn into the world, the banter filled romance and suspenseful plot. This paranormal suspense with its fantasy vibe reminded me of Jayne Anne Krentz’s Arcane Society novels and her Harmony series writing as Jayne Castle. I adore discovering new authors whose work pushes limits and heightens my experience.

When It’s Right by Jennifer Ryan

When It’s Right by Jennifer Ryan is the second novel in the Montana Men series and folks I am lovin’ it. The series has a small-town vibe, a little heat and each book deals with a Bowden brother..Yee-ha! Ryan blends suspense into the tales and does it all in Big Sky country. I loved this as much as the first novel. My only struggle is deciding which brother I love more.
