This hardcover novel with it’s colorful illustrations uses sewing as a metaphor for mending a broken heart. Cute and simplistic it offers the adult reader a chance to discuss with young readers “broken hearts and feelings.”
The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine offers up a splendid fantasy with dragons and a kick-ass version of Snow White. I easily slipped into the world and Redwine’s twist on this classic childhood story.
The Widow by Fiona Barton shares the tale from the perspective of a wife whose husband has been accused of committing a heinous crime. One often wonders if the spouse knew what their significant other was up to, if they aided them or turned a blind eye. The Widow shares with us such a case.

I was curious after reading the synopsis and the cover sealed the deal. Dare to Run was intense, dark, funny, and full of feels as we enter the world of the Boston criminal gangs and meet our dark hero Lucas Donahue.
He Will Be My Ruin by K. A. Tucker is a standalone suspense that will grab the reader from page one and hold them until the last page is turned. He Will Be My Ruin was brilliantly told through the voice of the protagonist, with a few chapters dedicated to her best friend through journals. Tucker created a riveting suspense that kept me guessing.
