Darkness Rising by Lis Wiehl w/ Pete Nelson

I have always liked books and movies that depict the battle between good and evil. Especially books that feature demons, angels and secret societies. Darkness Rising is the second book in the East Salem trilogy and it had me on edge the entire time. Evil is coming and its starting in East Salem Massachusetts. This tale left me breathless and afraid. I cannot wait for the final installment.

Dearly, Beloved by Lia Habel

I loved the world building and secondary characters in Dearly, Departed and despite some issues I was looking forward to book two. I hoped Dearly, Beloved would deliver and instead it left me with mixed feelings. I truly struggled with this book and its six points of view. Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan

Unspoken offers a gothic mystery filled with magic, romance and suspense. The first in Brennan’s Lynburn Legacy series I was drawn into the world she created. With hints of Nancy Drew and a fairy tale feel this novel is sure to appeal to a large audience. Set in a remote English countryside in the tiny cottage town of Sorry-in-the-Vale you will find secrets, powers and mystical creatures.

The Uninvited by Heather Graham

If you follow my reviews you are probably aware that I love romantic suspense wrapped in a little paranormal woo-woo. Heather Graham is one of my favorite authors for when the mood strikes. Each of the novels can be read as standalone, as each book deals with one member of the special FBI unit and their romance. I love that each case brings us a mystery to solve and a swoon worthy guy. The Uninvited tells Agent Tyler Montague’s story as he works to solve a murder investigation.

Every Day by David Levithan

When I read the synopsis for Every Day I knew that I had to read it. I found the idea of waking each morning in strangers body thought provoking. Could I love someone who appeared differently each morning? What about all the senses surrounding that love..like the way they smell, the feel of their hand, the way their eyes sparkle when they laugh. David Levithan not only addressed these questions, he made me think about so much more. I feel in love with the characters, the journey and didn’t want this bittersweet novel to end.
