I have read nearly all of Chris Bohjalian novels and have loved them. The Sleepwalker was on my December reading list when the opportunity presented itself to review The Premonition. I could not resist. This is a very short prequel narrated by Cady McClain on audio and available as an eBook. Bohjalian takes the reader to a quiet Vermont town and shares the events of one summer.
Under Rose-Tainted Skies by Louise Gornall
If you follow Caffeinated you know, I am picky about young adult reads and rarely do I ever read a contemporary romance. Under Rose-Tainted Skies by Lousie Gornall spoke to me from the synopsis to the cover and well here I am.
Nonna’s Corner: The Little Elephant Who Wants to Fall Asleep
The Little Elephant Who Wants to Fall Asleep: A New Way of Getting Children to Sleep by Carl-Johan Forssén Ehrlin intrigued me with its sleep technique, so I decided to review it. Soothing narration shares the story of Ellen the Elephant using soothing voices and light music to induce you child to drift off to sleep.
Deja Who by MaryJanice Davidson
Deja Who by MaryJanice Davidson is the first in a new urban fantasy series where folks are aware of their past lives. It explores reincarnation as it shares famous characters from the past and introduces heroine Leah Nazir who navigates her own tragic past, helps clients with theirs, and waits to be murdered.
The Body Reader by Anne Frasier
Fourth of July weekend, despite my pile of ARCS and my long TBR list I was in the mood for something different to read. Can you relate? My Kindle Oasis has Ads that appear on the screen saver and The Body Reader had teased me all week-long. On impulse, I clicked read more, read the synopsis and clicked BUY, only to discover as a Prime member I could read it free! This was my first time taking advantage of the lending library and I am eager to try it again next month.
