The Long Journey by G. L. Gooding is third audiobook in Velma’s story, narrated by Kate Wisniewski. The author continues the story of Velma and her family as World War II changes things for the young family. Love, loss, moves, and family made this story memorable and left me hoping for another book.
He Falls First by Jill Shalvis
He Falls First by Jill Shalvis is the first in the Colburn Brothers series. I adore series about siblings, so I was all in. This first story belongs to the oldest brother, Ryder, and Penny, who has moved back home to live with her grandmother and teenage brother. Swoons, laughter and more await you in this heartfelt novel.
The Road to Resilience by G.L. Gooding
The Road to Resilience by G. L. Gooding is the second book in the Velma’s Story narrated by Kate Wisniewski. The story is based on the life of Gooding’s mother, Velma Steele, that began with Where Courage Began. Gooding delivers a piece of rural America spanning from 1924 to the 1930s. Beautifully written, I got swept up in Velma’s story once again.
The Love Fix by Jill Shalvis
The Love Fix by Jill Shalvis is the last standalone romance in the Sunrise Cove series and I devoured it. If you love small-town romances, family, adorkable pets and heart-warming romances with a touch of sizzle, this is for you.
These Summer Storms by Sarah MacLean
“These Summer Storms,” a contemporary fiction by Sarah MacLean, was among my most looked-forward-to books of 2025. When I found out Julia Whelan was narrating, I knew I had to listen along. MacLean delivered the perfect beach read filled with family, new beginnings and loss.
