Partial is the first novel, in a new series by Dan Wells, acclaimed author of I Am Not a Serial Killer. In this YA, post-apocalyptic dystopia the year is 2076. It has been eleven years since the uprising of the Partials; a group of engineered organic beings who released a virus known as RM. This virus wiped out most of humanity and left the few remaining unable to produce living offspring.

Hallowed by Cynthia Hand

Hallowed book two in the Unearthly trilogy, took me on an emotional ride and left me wanting more. This novel picks up a few months after Unearthly ends. Hand’s writing style is unique and her character driven series is well on its way to becoming one of my favorites.

Unseen is another novel involving Krewe of Hunter’s leader Jackson Crow. He is in Texas, putting together a new crew, since his team is stretched to the limit with investigations and the characters have all been paired off. Graham delivers a novel filled with murder, mystery, suspense, paranormal activity and a new romance. I like the way the dead assist the living in these mystery driven romances.

Rose masterfully blends fact and fiction as she takes us from the tombs of ancient Egypt to the catacombs of Paris. I was fascinated by the history and drawn to the characters.
