The Promise by Robyn Carr

The Promise by Robyn Carr is the fifth book in the Thunder Point series, and I have come to love the townsfolk in this coastal, Oregon community. This story updates us on previous characters and introduces Peyton Lacoumette. She is a talented medical assistant who needs a change. When she steps into Scott Grant’s medical practice, she finds more than expected. This was a delightful, sweet romance and once again, Carr had me wrapped up in this romance.

Deadly Curiosities set in Charleston, South Carolina is the first in the Deadly Curiosities series by Gail Z. Martin. An old school urban fantasy with a Warehouse 13 vibe, this tale was action packed. Filled with magic, supernatural creatures and possessed objects. I quickly consumed this and look forward to reading more.

Engaging the Earl by Diana Quincy

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Accidental Peers series by Diana Quincy, so when an opportunity presented itself to review the newest novel, Engaging the Earl I jumped at the chance. While this was not my favorite of the series, Quincy once again gave me a feisty heroine to make me laugh and a hero who I felt for even as I wanted to slap him in the back of the head.

Sweetest Mistake by Candis Terry

Sweetest Mistake is my second trip to Sweet, Texas a small town in Candis Terry’s Sweet, Texas series. Last year I read and enjoyed Anything But Sweet. Sweetest Mistake was in a word, yummy. This tale features firefighter and ex-marine Jackson Wilder. It is a friendship to lover, second chance romance with lovable, flawed characters, and I literally consumed this.
