Recently I have had a rash of blogs/websites steal my coffee cup and stack of books logo for their header, to announce world book day, as a book cover, for a PR company and everything from blog challenges to selling etsy products. My logo image even appears in a teaching video for second graders and an online newspaper for a small northeastern town. A student lawyer was using it ironically on her law site. Oops! Now I realize coffee and books are two very awesome things and my logo is adorkable but seriously people you need to be careful when grabbing images of the web.
I recommend that if you own a blog or website you add a search box. Believe it or not it ranks in the top ten of pet peeves for readers. I recently hosted an event and used search buttons to find folks start up posts. I had hoped to comment and cheer them on. On some blogs I was forced to click older posts over and over, refresh after refresh..eek gads!
I am often surprised when I visit a blog, love their post and go to click on a share icon and find none. At the bottom of every post you should have share buttons to allow others to uplift your posts. Our reach as bloggers goes only as far as our following and allowing others to uplift you can bring attention to you and your blog.
