Today I am excited to share my thoughts on Genevieve Cogman’s Invisible Library and Masked City. These are the first two books in the fantasy series The Invisible Library. Filled with mystery and suspense we travel to alternate London and worlds filled with FAE, Werewolves, automatons, Dragons and more. This series is positively delightful.
The Perfect Girl by Gilly Macmillan
Lately thrillers have called me to read them, and The Perfect Girl by Gilly Macmillan drew me in with its promise of gripping thriller and secrets. Fast paced, with different narratives I easily devoured The Perfect Girl in two sittings.
A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir
Nothing makes me happier than a stronger second book in a series and such was the case with A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir. This is the second novel in young adult dystopian fantasy series An Ember in the Ashes. (Which ironically was standalone, then duology and now there are two more books in the works) Brilliant, fast paced and exquisitely written the audio narrated by Katharine McEwan, Fiona Hardingham and Steve West was completely addictive.
Nonna’s Corner: The Storybook Knight by Helen Docherty
Today on Nonna’s Corner I am sharing an adorable book I picked up at BEA. The Storybook Knight by Helen Docherty. I don’t mind telling you that this Nonna loved the hero and the mythical beasts we encountered. You will want to add this beautifully illustrated hardcover book to your holiday shopping list.
Roadside Assistance by Marie Harte
Roadside Assistance by Marie Harte is one of those books that captured my heart. The second book in the Body Shop Bad Boys series, Harte touched on body issues with a heroine I flat-out adored. Foley our hero is far from polished, and speaks his mind, but the boy is all heart. I laughed, swooned and cried making Roadside Assistance a favorite for 2016.
