We have now entered the Twilight Zone, that time between Christmas and New Year’s, when you do not know what day it is, who you are, or what you are supposed to be doing. We had a lovely Christmas and spent a few days with the Royals, playing games, crafting and eating. I am tired. The kids will be back tomorrow as parent’s work and they are on winter holiday until the seventh of January. Stay Caffeinated.

The time between Christmas and New Years is kind of my favorite because I really focus on resting and being lazy and generally recovering from the holiday. That said I very rarely know what day it is. I hope 2025 is a fantastic year for you and yours!

lol It is so the Twilight Zone this week. Happy New Year and happy reading. I need to read Lori Foster again, I’ve enjoyed her books in the past.

Checking out the Historical Fiction challenge – sounds like my jam, if I can remember to keep track. Glad you’re having fun over the holidays – enjoy your time with the Royals 🙂

I hope that you had a lovely Christmas. I am totally confused by what day it is!

I am so full of festive food and we still have tomorrow to go! Hopefully then we can chill a bit. My son goes back on 6 January.

    Have a great week!

I have never agreed with anything more than this being the twilight zone between Christmas and New Years, I always feel like it takes forever between the two holidays.
And my husband took off from Christmas eve until January 1st! He goes back the 2nd. So time is even weirder right now.
Hope you had an amazing Christmas.

definitely a time when time moves differently… these last few days of the year… maybe i should pick up the Christmas Tree Farm just to hold on to the festive season for a bit more..

Both of these books sound good. I think I would really enjoy Nine Month Contract by Amy Daws. That sounds like it will be a fun read, Kimberly. I can’t wait to read your thoughts. Happy New Year, and yes I confess I am a zombie 🤣

I am missing The Twilight Zone this year because I’m working every day but Wednesday. I want to cry. I’m glad to hear you had a wonderful Christmas.

  9. A Voracious Reader

This week is always so weird. I kept forgetting yesterday that it was Saturday. It felt like it took a year before it was time for bed. And then I kept thinking that the next day was New Year’s Eve. lol

  10. Jessica @ a GREAT read

Glad you had a nice holiday! Ours was good as well, though seems we’ve a flu bug going around since before the holidays and it likes to linger. I’ve been quarantining myself away from those infected. But if I recall, I do believe my parents will have to babysit my high school niece as she goes back later than my sister and still can’t be trusted to on her own for the day, which doesn’t usually make it easy for me to work at home. Maybe I should go to my sister’s empty house for those days…lol!

Nice new reads! These are new to me ones but I hope you enjoy them once you get to read them!

You describe this time perfectly. I feel like I lost or gained a day somewhere. I asked my husband both yesterday and today what day it was.

I hope you get some rest and have a merry and bright new year.

Interesting name for that time between Christmas and New Year’s! I don’t like all the changes in the schedules on TV or life in general. Not a fan, lol.

    Enjoy your family time!
