On Thursday, my aunt/godmother was admitted to the hospital and two hours later, she was gone. She and I would chat on the phone for hours and every time I went to Jersey, I made it a point to visit her. We got along so well and her passing left an immense hole. I took Friday off, slept in and then took the grandkids to the zoo because you cannot be sad spending time with those smiling faces. Stay Caffeinated.

So sorry to hear of your lose. I send prayers for you and family.
Having work or children (grands) is helpful to pass through times of grief.
    Take care of yourself.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I really think the worst part about getting older isn’t the creaky knees or the back pain but it’s the fact that those we love get older too. I’m glad you were able to take some time to process and then get some zoo time. Hugs and have a good week.

I’m so sorry to hear about your aunt. That’s hard when it is so sudden like that. I’m glad the grandkids were able to help you smile though after the loss. My niece and nephew are the same way for me, and I know when my mom and stepdad were in the hospital it helped them to see their grandkids when they were worried about each other and themselves. I hope this week is better.

I’m so sorry to hear about your aunt/god-mother! It sounds like the two of you had a beautiful relationship, though, and I hope the memory of that helps you with the loss! I hope you have a good week with loads of light and love!

I’m so sorry for your loss, Kimberly! It’s worse when it’s someone you connect with profoundly. Yes, it’s hard to be sad with joyful little ones! Can’t believe the mid year check in for the audio book challenge is coming up! I just peeked and saw that I’m at 60 books so far, so I’m a little ahead! Yay!

  16. Lorna

I know I already commented to you about this but just now saw this. I hope you are okay as it’s never easy losing a close family member or friend. It takes time, but eventually you’ll be able to think about her and smile about your times together-hopefully. Anyway that’s been my experience.
