It was the last full week of summer vacation for the Royals. They start back to school this upcoming Wednesday. They are both excited. We had a heat wave hit and while the Royals are on the mend, I sadly got their crud and have been miserable. Headache, unproductive cough, clammy… just yuck. No Covid, though, so there is that. I mostly watched movies and listened to a twenty-four-hour audiobook. With no kiddos to watch over the weekend, I am cuddled up, drinking tea and hopefully writing this weeks reviews. Stay Caffeinated.

My grandson goes back to school this week too. Nice to have a little more time to myself.

Oh no! I’m sorry to hear you got the crud from the kiddos. Once it’s back to school, it seems the germs are very happy. Feel better soon!
Lover of Romance
Looks like you are in for a relaxing weekend there! Hope you get the time and care to heal and recover.
Anstice Brown
Sorry you’ve not been well. Hope you get plenty of rest.

So glad you are taking time to rest and recover! Audio books are just magic when I’m sick. I hope you feel better soon and the Royals have a great first week at school!

I’ve added Signal Moon to my TBR.
There must be something in the air as many bloggers seem to have this crud. I hope you feel well soon!

Sorry to hear you’ve been sick this week. That’s no way to spend the last week of summer break! I tested positive for COVID last weekend, so I’ve been resting in bed for most of this week. Thankfully the symptoms are starting to subside, so I hope to be a little more productive in this second week of quarantine.
BonnieReadsAndWrites
Hope you feel better.
Sara
Hope you are feeling better soon!
Take care and have a wonderful week ahead!

Sorry you are feeling cruddy, but I’m glad it’s not Covid! Feel better soon, and I hope the Royals have a terrific school year.
I’m looking forward to reading your review of The Secret of Bow Lane, but I want to finish writing mine before I read anyone else’s!

I am sorry you are sick, Summer crud is the worst. Relax while you can. Hope you feel better soon.
Anne - Books of My Heart
I’m sorry you aren’t feeling well but at least you are having a break to recuperate. School starts early there but hopefully that means a bit longer winter break or that you get out in May instead of June.
Rachel @Waves of Fiction
My grandkids get me sick a lot! I don’t know how it usually only gets me. My husband is always okay. Hope you feel better, Kimberly. Enjoy the quiet weekend!
Lisa Mandina (Lisa Loves Literature)
Ugh, glad it’s not Covid, but hope you get to feeling better soon! It’s at least nice you’re able to read/listen to a book and cuddle up while you’re sick! I’m back in school, but the kids don’t come back here for another two weeks fortunately.
Wendy
I hope you feel better soon, Kimberly, it sure is terrible to be sick in a heat wave. Back to school already! I hope they enjoy their new teachers and classes too.
Shelleyrae @ Book’d Out
You have all my sympathy because I’m sick too, again! Ugh
Wishing you a great reading week and feel better soon!

Back to school time! Lots of excitement for the coming school year. I hope you feel better soon . A 24 hour audiobook – I hope it was great at that length! I hope you have a wonderful week ahead.
Jessica @ a GREAT read
Oh no! Sorry to hear you got the crud! But glad it’s crud and not the other C-word! Wow, school is starting all around! My niece doesn’t go back for another two weeks still. Hope you feel better soon!
Nice new reads! I still need to get going on Darynda’s novella series! I have the first two lined up on my kindle with the third one preordered and ready to go once it releases! Perhaps I’ll try reading them this year! There are just so many books I want to read but I can’t seem to get to them all!
Happy Reading!

We were hot here, too. Hopefully, if the forecast is correct (LOLOL), we’re dropping to the 80s next week. I hope you feel better soon!!
Tessa
Hope you feel better soon. We were suffering from non-Covid crud this week too but feeling better now. Stay in bed and read – that’s the best thing for it 😇

I’m sorry you aren’t feeling great, and I hope it passes through quickly.

We are going on week 3 of the second last term of the year. I always find it so strange how the school years differ around the world. You’ll miss the royals, but peace and quite is also welcome!
Have a good week and happy reading!

Ugh, sorry to hear that you’ve been sick again. Sounds miserable. At least you had an audiobook for entertainment. And that was a long one! I hope this week has you feeling much better.
Sophie
Oh no Kimberly! I am so sorry that you felt so miserable this week! I hope next wek will be way better for you! Hugs!

Wow that summer seemed to go quick! My partner’s school finished a couple of weeks ago and then he will go back in September. I keep getting colds. My son is about to start school so we have taken him to a local children’s centre to get him mixing and he just keeps bringing stuff home! Luckily it hasn’t been covid yet which considering the UK is going through a bad patch I am surprised (but relieved!).
Get well soon.

I hope you feel better soon! I always think it’s more miserable to be sick during the summer. I hope you’ve had some good movies to watch while you get well.
Mark
Hope you’re feeling better soon. Hard to believe summer is over, at least for the kids and teachers.
Greg
Aw, hope you feel better. I hate being sick in the summer. Not feeling good plus the heat… not fun. Hope you’re having a relaxing weekend. And back to school already! Summer is flying by…
Laurel-Rain Snow
How is it almost time to go back to school? The summer flew by, didn’t it? In fact, the whole year is doing that, too.
Your weekend plans sound good.
