Jump aboard the White Feather Flier, a magical plane that can go wherever you want. Just press a button printed on the page, and point the plane up in the air to fly, or down to land it.

The Flier’s mission is to transport readers around the world, to engage them in helping to save the environment, and to teach one and all to love our planet.

Fly to the top of a mountain. Send clean water to thirsty people. Dive deep into the ocean (the Flier turns into a submarine!) to pick up pollution and bring back the fish.

Explore the planet, meet new people, and help make the world a better place.

An inspiring, lyrical story, rooted in Lennon’s life and work, with beautiful illustrations that bring the faraway world closer to young children.

The book includes words to a special poem written by Julian Lennon, specifically for Touch the Earth.

Touch The Earth is the first book in a planned trilogy.

A portion of the proceeds from books sales will go to support the environmental and humanitarian efforts of the White Feather Foundation.

Come jump aboard the White Feather Flier, a magical plane in TOUCH THE EARTH written by Julian Lennon along with Bart Davis. I had a feeling this tale would be special and I was right. Beautifully illustrated by Smijana Coh children will love meeting the flyer.  Julian Lennon takes young explorers on a magical flight designed to get their young mind’s thinking about and protecting the environment.

One of the things I love is the nontechnology interactive aspect to this story. The story encourages readers to use their imagination as they push the button and tilt the book up or down to fly over mountains and swoop down low. TOUCH THE EARTH is lyrical yet simplistic as we help gather water, dive into the deep and meet new people. The book also includes a beautiful poem written by Julian specifically for this book. It gently reminds all of us how important our planet is especially for the wee one’s we are reading to.

This is the first book in a planned trilogy and a portion of the proceeds from books sales will go to support the environmental and humanitarian efforts of the White Feather Foundation. This would be perfect for the classroom and a great gift to celebrate Earth Day. Let your imagination soar!

I give most of the physical picture books I get for review to a local nonprofit daycare. I am going to but a copy of this book for them. Thanks for the heads up. 🙂

That is so wonderful. You are wonderful. I donate books to the local women’s shelter and children’s’ hospital to give the moms there something to read. When my kids outgrew books we sent them to third world countries for rural schools and missions.

Ahh so much to love. The illustrations are darling and I love the causes these support. I am sad to say that my kids have almost outgrown picture books. 🙁

The artwork is so cute! I love the message. I think every child, no matter how old, should care about the Earth and this such a great book to do it. And it’s by Julien Lennon which is crazy!
