A Study in Scarlet Women by Sherry Thomas is the first in the Lady Sherlock series and I’ve had it on Audible almost since its release. I also preordered the next two and yet they sat. When Because Reading issued a month long challenge to read a series in a month I knew it was time. I am kicking myself quite thoroughly for having waited. Grab a peppermint mocha latte and see why you should begin them now….
THE STRANGE CASE OF THE ALCHEMIST’S DAUGHTER written by Theodora Goss and narrated by Kate Reading was an addictive story featuring the daughters of some of Literature’s most famous science fiction and horror characters. Mystery, humor, and twists aplenty make this a worthy listen.
Readers have hailed Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase a favorite. It is the third book in the Scoundrels series and can be read as a standalone. I made a request to review the new audio release after some gentle persuasion by audio junkie pal, Loupe @ Hot Listens. I loved these characters and their wickedly delicious banter. I laughed, swooned and cannot wait to listen to it repeatedly. It has earned a place in my top ten reads.
