A Trip to the Water’s Edge is a humorous chick-lit mystery. This is the second book in a series involving protagonist Mattie Mitchell and her faithful side kick, Clare Tibbitts.
Beatrice Munson by Lorena Bathey
This was an entertaining delightful chick-lit novel. The women of Vista Heights are your typical upper class suburban Moms, with all the problems and insecurities one would expect. Bathey, perfectly details the women and the world they live in.
Unfinished Business by W. Soliman
Unfinished Business was an interesting mystery with a shocker ending. Fifteen years ago Kara Webb’s sister went missing and her family won’t talk about it. Her brother is now dead and it was ruled an accident. When going through his things she finds a recent picture of her brother and sister. She needs answers and seeks out the former detective who handled the case.
The Black Prism by Brent Weeks
I absolutely love the world Weeks has created in Black Prism. This book is pure fantasy and the saga (part of a trilogy) looks to be exquisite. The magic used in this realm is based on light and color. It is quite unique and different.
